Hmmm. Guess that No Lockdown policy didn’t work out so well.
I’m sure the Flubros will have a full explanation, though.
I have been very interested in what’s going on in Sweden, and have tried to stay objective. Unfortunately, getting objective information is like trying to get valid information out of Fauci.
“Im sure the Flubros will have a full explanation, though.”
Stockholm Syndrome
And how is that number derived? How can they be immune unless they have had the disease or a vaccine? I don't think 20% of the population of ANY country has had Covid-19.
But let's be like Sweden.
Snapshots of time wont matter in the long run.
Well see in time whose plan was better.
That stated, if you think we can control the outcome of this,
youre truly mistaken.
Sweden is doing just fine. They have not locked down. And they have pretty good virus numbers. That is not to say they have skipped past the virus. They did not. Nor did they expect to. They are just developing their herd immunity without wrecking their economy. The point is not to do better than everyone else when it comes to deaths and sickness. The point is that they will do no worse than everyone else. And they will not have ANY economic effects. The point is that the lock down has NO advantage. Lock downs only hurt the economy. Sweden proves it.
Big deal ,Los Angeles saw cases jump 442,000 in one day after the release of a report this week, and everything but taco stands and bathtub cheese makers are shut down.. with the actual deaths and population on the order if magnitude as Sweden

The FluBros have an explanation:
—The doctors and nurses are crisis actors
—The dead people were murdered by Muslims or Sasquatch
—The Swedish government is part of a plot to bring down President Trump
—The numbers are all made up
—The mass media is lying
—Everyone is already immune.
Anyone who disagrees with them is a Fearper trying to take away our Constitutional rights.

20% now and the immune percentage is increasing rapidly from that level!
History of this pandemic will look back kindly on Swedens strategy.
Is their health care capacity at risk? If not, then so what. There is no containing or stopping this bug. It will run its course, either quickly or slowly. “Flattening the curve” is supposed to ensure the emergency medical system isn’t suddenly overrun. It’s not going to ultimately stop the spread of the bug. If they could do that, we’d never catch a cold.
Anything beyond flattening the curve enough to ensure continued available emergency care is just delaying the inevitable at the cost of destroying the economy. And you have to have an economy to have a health care system in the first place.
You guys will be happy to read this thread as well.

The lock down policy does NOT limit the number of deaths. All it does and all it was meant to do is stretch out the length of time the virus runs thru the population (IOW flatten the curve) so the Health facilities don’t get overwhelmed.
This China Virus will end up with the same kill rate as the common annual virus(s) we get.
Nice fantasy writing.
Per the article they did have a complete lockdown policy on nursing homes, and yet, yes that’s right, at least half of their fatalities were in those locked down facilities!
Lockdowns are so efficient, aren’t they?
I’m sure in their time of need their new found Muslim brothers will help lead them...
...straight to Hell.
Here’s the thing, you can rip the bandaid off quick, feel the pain, then get past it like Sweden is or you can pull it very slow and make it hurt for years like America and other countries are.
The big difference is you will still have a viable economy if you rip it off quick. The other way means decades of financial recovery - if ever.
This is a sneaky virus. It hides in plain sight taking rides on perfectly healthy people who don’t even know it’s there infecting them as they spread it everywhere they go.
Will it die out at some point? Maybe or maybe it will be around for many years as it mutates slightly. So much we don’t know yet some people, perhaps you included, are willing to destroy our way of life for this and future generations for the illusion of safety. The word “safe” is used by those who would control us. Don’t be that guy.
Good snark!! But pull back a bit and think. Lock downs never were put in place to prevent people from getting the virus. They were put in place to slow the spread....but ultimately lock down or not the same number of people will be infected....lock down or not.
Sweden decided their medical system could handle the sharp curve while most decided to not test their health care systems luck and try for a flat curve.....but, the area under the curve will be the same in both cases.
I’m not defending Sweden nor am I criticizing them. I’m just saying we will not truly know the results of their approach for another year or so. I hope it works, but we’ll have the data either way.
And in the bigger picture.......No one knows what’s best. Some will guess right and some will guess wrong. My suggestion is that you act like an adult and not like a 14 yr old HS student.
Sweden’s infection rate is currently 1,739/mil and the US is 2,758/mil. The death rate in Sweden is 213/mil and the US is 156/mil. Seems to me things in Sweden aren’t horrible and they still have an economy.
