Fewer drivers on the road, means fewer and fewer people are filling up their tank.
With consumers are staying at home and the economy in troubled waters, I think thats kind of the best summary. People are just not driving, said GasBuddy Head Petroleum Analyst Patrick De Haan.
At one point Friday morning, the Francis Creek Shell station was selling the cheapest gas in the country at just 75 cents a gallon.
Experts say while you're saving now, you may have to pay for it later.
Its exciting to see the gallon count go up as fast as the dollar count, but overall, its flashing a red signal," said De Haan. "The longer prices remain lower, the higher risk we are of prices eventually going up sharply. Maybe not in the months ahead, but in the years ahead.

It sure isnt Florida. 1.77 when I filled up a few days ago.

exactly, I get gas that is generally .10 cheaper at BJ’s than other local gas stations and it’s been $1.69 for over a month, despite oil going down to record lows. The price never decreased in parallel to the oil price crash. Hope this isn’t the bottom of prices, I was hoping for under $1.00 prices considering the oil prices havent been this low in decades.
$2.15 this morning in Bakersfield CA..........L.A usually cheaper.
In the high mountains of Colorado I paid $1.46 yesterday.

What part of Fla? Got it for $1.40 yesterday here in Duval co. And I didn’t even have to look around.

I’m happy with our $1.25/gal. Reg. here in CO at Sam’s plus 5% rebate.
$2.47 is about what we are paying in Mountain View, CA. I figure that gasoline is about $0.25 of that price and the rest goes to Sacramento and little bit to Washington.

Of course, in that era, Dad would come home from work on Friday and ask Mom if she had gotten to the bank. She’d reply “Yes, I got a twenty.”
Lowest pricesvin Alaska I have seen are $1.80 at the card locks and $1.87 elsewhere.
Just bought 1500 gallons of diesel at $2.25.
I paid $1.35 at Safeway, with my 10 cent discount. Cost me 17 bucks to fill up. Northern Colorado.
Enjoy it now. Soon, producers will be shutting down, and soon after that, there will be no gasoline available at any price.
