Sounds like Los Angeles voters problem for their people to deal with.
I have felt that the “reopening” on May 20 was just something to keep us quiet until then. Then it will be postponed a few weeks to keep us shut up. Then another few weeks.....
Insane. Pure insanity.
How many viruses have “cures”? Offhand, I can’t think of a single one. There are none. Only symptoms can be treated, and vaccines developed which help reduce the occurrence.
So this (I can’t politely say what adjective I’m thinking of) mayor believes we should destroy ourselves while we’re waiting for something which will never come. The virus will always be with us to some degree, but people like Garcetti really need to go! This is wholesale destruction of our nation by official fiat. It needs to stop now!!

Perfect! By the end of the summer, LA will be in ruins! There will be no one left but those entirely supported by the government. There won’t be a single gas station or even a McDonalds. They might as well turn the entire city into a prison!!
I have been predicting that for weeks here. People mostly will just do what they want regardless of the governors. “I’m bored. I wanta go somewhere. I haven’t been on a date for months. I’m leaving.”
Cops will be a problem until massive resistance and violent protests take care of them. They will “stand down” and head for the donut shops again. ((Or the driveup window in back.))

Another way to look at this is, Trump’s medical experts were the ones who wanted the shutdown in the first place. They also might remember Trump praising Gavin Newsome, and attacking Republican Gov. Kemp for opening a couple of weeks early.
President Trump is not an innocent bystander here.
This is just the ORGANIZED DESTRUCTION OF CALIFORNIA to force the hand of Trump to give Newsom a huge FEDERAL BAILOUT FUND to pay for the Democrat destruction policies that have taken down this once great state.
Nothing more, nothing less. This is how filthy and crooked the Democrats and their president wannabe Newsom are.
What does that have to do with ANYTHING? It’s been 40 years with no cure. Do we expect LA to shut down for 40 years?
We’re well past the point that resistance to such tyranny would be justified.
It’s a shame that so many people not only acquiesce in this tyranny, but they actually want it.
