You’re right! Let scripture speak to the pro-homosexual movement in many “Christian” churches...

Ephesians 5:3 (NIV)
3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.

Jude 7 (NIV)
7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

1 Corinthians 5:11 (NIV)
11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister[a] but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Christians who want the truth should avoid pro-homosexual “Christians” who warp the plain meaning of scripture in order to deceive believers. Don’t even take my word for it. Study the Bible. The truth is there.

I’m thoroughly convinced that the reason why championing homosexuality is cited in Romans 1 is that since homosexual acts are so inherently sinful, unequivocally so in Scripture, that by the time someone can compromise on that they will have already compromised away everything, literally refused to retain knowledge of the Lord.

I liken this to a canary dying in a coal mine which should warn the miners that the air is bad. But seeing people being turned over to reprobate minds is not a sign to the depraved but to those around them who may yet escape, as well as to those “farther off” and not in those congregations.

This is judging the fruits, that such bad fruit will not come from good trees.

You are correct to cite Scripture where it says to break off associations with such “Christians”, or to flee sexual immorality as we are told elsewhere. Make no mistake about it: continual fellowship with such persons inevitably comes at the price of you compromising to make them happy, and friendship with the world is enmity towards God. Yes, they may not be overt about it, they may be subtle, acting as if angels of light, may even act as if they are giving you something in return, but as we’ve seen in the culture war they will be relentless in pressing their ways.

The on ramp to the broad way that leads to destruction may frequently be one of little compromises, little friendships with the world, little moralizings away the difference between right and wrong.

(Also: political and politically correct associations can carry the same consequences if anyone foolishly think there really are public things that exclude “private” including religion.)

The (in the temporal sense) scary thing is what we are seeing in our society indicate that championing homosexuality isn’t the lowest it will go, that there are insanities and wickednesses beyond it like genderism or murdering posterity.
