Georgia became an "experiment in human sacrifice" and "leads the race to become America's no. 1 Death Destination."
Those were among the many warnings from the mainstream media in April in reaction to the announcement by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp lifting many of the lockdown restrictions on April 24 that had been imposed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Of course, you won't be seeing much of those doom and gloom predictions now since, nearly a month later, those dire prognostications simply did not come to pass. In fact, Georgia, along with other states such as Florida, are seeing a decline in the rate of coronavirus cases.
To get an idea of just how much media hysteria was whipped up to engage in "shutdown shaming" ("shut shaming?") of Georgia let us look at a couple of dire examples from Atlantic magazine and the perpetually hysterical Dana Milbank of the Washington Post. The Atlantic horror tale spun by Amanda Mull on April 29 spun a particularly gruesome tale of the Peachtree State: "Georgias Experiment in Human Sacrifice." The subtitle is equally foreboding: "The state is about to find out how many people need to lose their lives to shore up the economy."

Dana Milbank is one nasty woman.
It will be very interesting to see some detailed stats from Sweden this summer...around August.By then the verdict should be in on the question “lockdown:good idea or totally useless?”
That is a flattened curve if I have ever seen one
Milbank’s article seems to be a common ploy libs use against the President by writing negative dispersions about any subject.
Attention Gov. Kemp: Expect media attempts to spotlight “spikes” in new cases, while not mentioning that only a tiny number require hospitalization.
Just more fear mongering from the communists in order to get as much mileage out of their preplanned virus as they can possibly get.
“Stay at home. Be safe. Rest assured that after you starve to death that the caring democRATs will give your home to deserving MS13 illegal immigrants.”
My son is a nurse in the cardio-ICU at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. Last month his unit was changed to Covid patients only. Out of 20 beds only 11 were used for Covid patients. In a few weeks the unit was changed back to cardio patients.
This stuff is so idiotic. People die everyday working or going to work, but they are not shoring up the economy, they are chasing their dreams, serving their families, and serving others. Usually it is a combination of all three. Only a fool thinks people are shoring up the economy.
