It starts as a “rich mans disease”, people who travel, big cities.

Then migrates to the poor.

India has been unexplicably(by some accounts) spared so far, but, India is slated to get real bad.

I don't think it's inexplicable - the combination of heat, BCG vaccination, malarial medicine, low incidence of obesity and low travel has kept covid deaths low.

In addition PM Modi went into lockdown when they had very few cases and he has also shut entry into the country

I don't see India as slated to get "real bad" -- worse than now, but nowhere near Western European levels
