So they are running at less than 3% mortality. Doesn’t a large portion of the Indian population take hdroxychloroquine to prevent malaria??

Hmmm....ironic

5,242 new cases of coronavirus SHOULD translate to 5,242 people instantly put on the HCQ-Zn-Zpack regimen. One would hope. India is by far the largest manufacturer of HCQ in the world.

Add to that that yes, people being treated with HCQ for anything -- whether it's malaria, Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis --- have strong protection against coronavirus. The Italian Rheumatology Society (SIR) reported that of 65,000 RA patients taking HCQ in hard-hit Italy, the number who have tested positive for COVID-19 is, at this point, 20.

There are approximately 1 million people in the U.S. that take HCQ for Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis with no issues.

It's true that HCQ has been implicated in some heart arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death --- but the incidence has been so small, and the risk so remote, that RA patients are not even generally screened for cardiac issues.

We get a simple quarterly blood and urine test to detect levels, and a yearly ophthalmic exam for retina. Never had a problem.

And the real kicker is the duration of the prescription. Typical COVID-19 patient on Dr. Zelenko's treatment gets HCQ for under a week. Typical RA patient is on daily HCQ for decades.

You can see, a little perspective helps.
