A Kentucky convenience store told customers to take off their face masks or go somewhere else but later did an about-face when called out for the controversial message.
A photo of the sign outside Alvins in Manchester was shared Monday on Facebook by a man who said he wanted to spread their shame by publicizing the business call to flout Gov. Andy Beshears mask guidance, intended to curb the spread of the coronavirus, the Lexington Herald-Leader reports.
No face masks allowed in store, the pink sign read. Lower your mask or go somewhere else! Stop listening to Beshear. Hes a dumbass.

I’m not sure Beshear is a “dumbass” but he sure thinks the people of the state are children.

I guess the store isn’t allowed to have an opinion although as a store owner, they should take in to account everyone’s opinion and not be mad if business falls off. That exact thing happened in our small town. The guy who owned the little gas station/convenience store got into a beef with the town council and was bad mouthing them right and left. He lost a lot of business.
A relative was a successful retailer in a small town. He was a strong Republican, but in his store he was apolitical. His view was, why should I alienate half my customers?
A sufficient number of the “children” voted the jackass into office. Kentuckians deserve the government they voted for.
He’s a dem, so he’s a “dumbass”
I just noticed my bank had removed a sign from their door that had been up for years.
It said “Please remove all hats, sunglasses and facecoverings. They are not allowed inside the bank.”
I don’t blame this store. Today’s average customer strongly resembles yesterdays armed robber.
exactly, it would be very hard for me..... but I’d do it for the business.
Well yes, the teacher union was a huge factor. that and Beavens shot his foot with his mouth and the teachers. A lot of Republicans chose to not vote that race, Louisville was the huge tipping point.
As I entered a supermarket, duly masked, I told the security guard that I was part of the JESSE JAMES group, gathering for the holding up of the bank next door.
His reply, “Too late, sir. The DALTON gang cleaned it out a half hour ago.”
Yep.
That’s funny. A security guard with a sense of humor.
