Just two more weeks, right Ned? Then you will change your mind a few days prior ans say "just two more weeks."
That’s a good sign. Cromwell is not a rock-ribbed conservative area, though it has its refugees from Middletown and Hartford, to be sure. I went to grad school there for a while. Pretty typical Connecticut town. They also hit national news a while ago with that XY running as a girl, and winning all the prizes.
If Cromwell opens up, can Glastonbury, Cheshire, Woodbridge and Simsbury be far behind?
Kind of fitting the town is named Cromwell.
Good! So much in the news today of so many openings both officially sanctioned and otherwise. The lockdown is breaking up, with or without government approval.
Rookies demands no less!
When questioned about Cromwells intentions before the vote Wednesday and how he intends to enforce the rules if individual towns will not, Lamont said overall, there hasnt been great need for enforcement because people have followed the rules set in the name of safety.

I don’t want to hear a GD thing about “following the rules” from a bunch of elitist Leftists who have been flouting the idea of “sanctuary cities” and “undocumented aliens”.
Great news, Cromwell has a Republican council. I guess they want it open for the Travelers Open (Golf) at the TPC at River Highlands. I guess they want people to visit the town...
Good news!
Let’s hope it catches on in towns and cities all across the nation!
More Americans each day are acting like Americans and telling their Corona-dictator governors to go to hell.
What I see in the suburbs north of Philadelphia is downright snobbery. The white collar professionals have been working from home via zoom this whole time, and not missing a single paycheck. Select healthcare workers, government bureaucrats and other workers deemed essential got to keep their jobs. Schoolteachers are teaching from home or otherwise being made whole.
Meanwhile, lots of small blue collar contractors, bar and restaurant servers, and people in various entertainment fields, are laid off and reminded daily how non-essential they are.
From the conversations I hear, it is pretty obvious that when people talk about the need to stay closed a bit longer - they arent talking about themselves. They are almost exclusively well-off white collar snobs talking about how the bars and restaurants and diners need to stay closed.
The whole thing makes me sick to my stomach.
Been to Cromwell, seemed like a nice town.
