I hate it that I cannot get quinine any more. I had used it as a Malaria prophylactic for 14 years on my trips to Việt Nam. Now Doc tells me I have to use Doxy-xomething a new better wonder antibiotic. I tried it in 2015. It put me in the hospital and aborted my trip. I did get a good heart workup out of it, though and a clean bill of heart health. But without the quinine I have been going bare. I will discuss Hydroxylquinone with the doc when I see him again next week and see if it can be used the same way and if he will prescribe it for me.

Can’t you get the quinine in Viet Nam? I would think it would be as common as asprin there.
