I hope he’s as badass as Grenell.

I’ve been so conditioned that I expect everyone around President Trump to turn into a Jeff Sessions, or Trey Gowdy. That is, talk a great game, but produce nothing, zero, zip, nada.

“said he had the experience to be an independent leader of the nation’s 17 intelligence agencies, given his past work as a federal prosecutor.”

Prosecution is just what’s needed.

Good. Now we can get on with the business of getting some ACTIONABLE intelligence back to the Commander-in-Chief, and finally establish just who and where the world troublemakers are.

Dan Coats, and his successor, Joseph Maquire, were both a disaster. Richard Grenell was a good caretaker, but unable to fully assert authority.

I suspect RAT politicians will be lined up on the shore, waving goodbye to Grenell.

John is/was my rep here in Texas. He is by all measure the most honest and truthful person I have ever known. The only side he is on is the Truth, Period. It is going to be a hell of a challenge replacing him as my Rep. God bless you, John.

Expect to see many more documents declassified in the very near future. Lots of very nervous people in the DNI organization.

Sounds like this is a paradox, but if this was a normal Trump appointee, Senate confirmation process would have been long and drawn out, but they moved fast on this one and I believe it is because Grenell was inflicting so much pain all over Washington with the declassification that they needed relief. The relief will come from the transition period when Radcliff will need time to find the DNI’s staples and washroom. Not sure if the purpose of Grenell was to help get Radcliff approved quickly or not (maybe some Trump 3D Chess?), but that is what got him a quick senate confirmation.

“The DNI’s role is crucial to our national security, and I look forward to working with Director Ratcliffe as he oversees the efforts of our nation’s 17 intelligence agencies," acting Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said in a statement Thursday. "In a time when the threats to our nation are many and varied, it is critical to have a Senate-confirmed DNI ensuring the wide array of intelligence agencies are sharing information across lines, coordinating capabilities, and working in the furtherance of our nation’s security using 21st century, cutting edge capabilities."

Rubio added: "Director Ratcliffe understands this responsibility, and I am confident that he will fulfill all of the roles assigned to the DNI with integrity.”

Sounds more like a job description than an endorsement.

Sniveling Little Marco is a snake. I trust him just a little more than Mitt Romney.

I hope I’m wrong but this sure looks like a Quid Pro Quo. Ratcliffe fast tracked for a fake fisa reform bill signed by POTUS. He needs to veto that garbage.

Anyone else remember that John Ratcliffe was nominated earlier, but was withdrawn because Senator Richard Burr opposed his nomination?

In the end, it turned out pretty well because Ratcliffe was a superstar in the impeachment hearings.

Dan Coats was an active member of the Deep State trying to out Trump. Ratcliffe will be cleaning out the corruption in the office of the DNI in short order.

Ratcliffe, R-Texas, pledged to senators that he’d deliver intelligence information without bias if confirmed for the job.

Here what I would add to this pledge:

"I promise to only be biased in favor of the United States of America. I will fight and die for her. If any political party tries to stab her in the back like a certain party has these past few years, I will certainly be biased to THEM!"

{Thunderous roaring, shouting, fist pumping from the GOP side of the aisle; hissing and catcalling, middle finger gestures from the donkey side.}
