Palestinians say sending medical aid through Tel Aviv is a 'cover for normalisation' of ties with Israel.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) has rejected an aid shipment from the United Arab Emirates, according to the Palestinian health minister.
In a news conference on Thursday, Mai Kaila said her country refused to receive the medical aid as the Emirati side ignored to coordinate with them.
"The UAE has not coordinated with us regarding the medical aid, and we reject to receive it without coordination," said the minister.
"We are a sovereign country, and they should have coordinated with us first."
Earlier on Thursday, Maan News Agency, known for being close to the PA, said citing informed sources the decision came as the aid arrived at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.
'Cover for normalisation' On Tuesday, an Emirati flight carrying medical aid for Palestinians landed at an Israeli airport after taking off from Abu Dhabi, marking the first public flight between the two states despite the UAE not having any official ties with Israel.
Etihad Airways, the state-owned air carrier, confirmed the flight.
"Etihad Airways operated a dedicated humanitarian cargo flight from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv on 19 May to provide medical supplies to the Palestinians," the airline told The Associated Press news agency on Tuesday.

I think Trump is teaching the world the value of calling a bulsh*tters bluff.
Hamas doesn’t care if (1) their people are poor and lack medical supplies. They are focused on (2) what really matters to them, which is to destroy Israel.
Usually they can use (1) to generate sympathy which helps them with (2).
Business people know that in these situations you call someone’s bluff by doing something that addresses the other sides claimed need while undermining what you perceive to be their secret objective.
Then the other side has to either reveal their true objective or twist themselves into a pretzel to explain why they are rejecting what they supposedly wanted.
Here we see a bit of both.
Thanks, PA, for giving the world a first-class demonstration of why it isn’t worth it to expend one molecule of ATP or one red cent to render any aid to you. You have really jumped off the deep end and your current ranting serves admirably to showcase that. There is NOTHING that your people have invented which has helped the world, NOTHING that you have produced, written, figured out that even justifies your further use of oxygen and space. Your only product for decades has been HATE, and the world certainly doesn’t need more of that. Don’t want help because it came via Israeli channels? Then die and rot in the streets.
