Merely estimates though. Pretty accurate estimates? Does that include those with CCW that don't require nics? Or strictly sales reported. Shouldn't there be an increase of gun violence that corresponds to that? Someone call shannon t watts for a comment.

Boy I can’t wait until the good governor allows us to exercise our 2nd Amendment rights again, and allows gun stores to open./s. Buy American made guns, ammo, and related products. Save the industry.

FYI, all buyers must complete a 4473, whether or not they have a CHL that permits bypassing the at-time-of-purchase NICS check.

These sales estimates are usually based on NICS checks, though.

Yes, but only if they are making good products that people want to buy. Go look at the InRange reviews on YouTube of the “NEW AMERICAN MADE” Leupold Freedom RDS red dot sight which has turned out to be a gigantic POS. So good that Leupold has pulled the sight from sale. Comes complete with either a giant obvious scratch on the front lens or a tactical rear lens ejection system, when new out of the box.

I work too hard for my money to shell out for some overpriced, underbuilt POS even if it was made in America.

***FYI, all buyers must complete a 4473***

I learned a sad truth over forty five years ago. In needing cash, I pawned a gun, and when I redeemed it with my pawn ticket, I still had to fill out a NEW 4473 for my own firearm.

And not one of them with a life jacket when the boat capsized. So sad. Sorry for your loss. :-)

Not all buyer must fill out a 4473. At a gun show or store yes. Where it’s still legal to sell to your buddy, you can go have a nics run if you like. Or not. Other places where it’s mandatory to go through nics for private sales, the bad guys still wouldn’t care. But, I know what you’re talking about.

Yes, but for these stats (’1.6M guns sold in April’) they’re only counting retail sale, and at retail you have to fill out a 4473.
