Great move.

Require that all social media platforms and websites permit Conservative Viewpoints.

“Require that all social media platforms and websites permit Conservative Viewpoints.”

And the next Obama can require them to carry Black Panther TV and Friday prayers.

Trump can't order that. They are private companies and can censor if they want to and they have been doing that, such as shadow banning people, etc.

But as Rush said today, social media companies are empty vessels and are not subject to libel laws because people can write whatever they want to and are just using the platform of the social media companies. All of them are empty vessels such as Reddit, etc.

But if they add their own content (such as fact checking a tweet), then they are subject to libel laws.

Rush compared a social media company to a bookstore, which makes a lot of sense.

But private companies can censor. The 1st amendment only applies to the government, so I don't think this has anything to do with forcing them to allow conservative content. The courts would never permit it.
