Already the CT guv has announced that if someone you are in contact with tests positive, you will have to be quarantined for 10 days—and report in to a “health professional” on each of those 10 days to discuss any potential symptoms that might develop.

Once and if contact tracing is allowed, it will never stop and the reasons to trace will morph into what ever those in political power give as a reason.
Every time I see or hear the words “The Greater Good” I see two things in my mind’s eye....

I think that they are already doing that now. But , you are correct. They will tighten their control over you. But why shouldn't they? Never give a sucker an even break. Of course the sheep demanded that they be controlled. Overnight we went from Rights to privileges. Granted by the whim of the Government.
South Korea did contact tracing with success. However, they are a smaller country. If you look at their numbers, their daily deaths since April 17 have been less than 2 per day. That’s down from 8 daily deaths on March 27th:

Dr. Nivav Shah, the head of the Maine CDC, is looking for
volunteers to do contact tracing.

Oh, and there was an outbreak of the Chinese virus at the Maine CDC command headquarters....two national guard guys and at least five other members of the Maine CDC team had flu symptoms last night and all tested positive.
