Twitter placed a warning label on one of President Trump's tweets about the protests in Minneapolis, Minnesota over George Floyd, a black man who died in police custody.
The social media giant said the early Friday morning tweet, which called the protesters "THUGS" and implied they could be shot, "glorified violence" and therefore violated Twitter's rules on violence.
Twitter did not take the tweet down, but it is hidden from view unless a user wants to see it.

"Twitter is doing nothing about all of the lies & propaganda being put out by China or the Radical Left Democrat Party," he tweeted Friday morning. "They have targeted Republicans, Conservatives & the President of the United States. Section 230 should be revoked by Congress. Until then, it will be regulated!"

Thank God PDJT had the balls to spell out what’s going to happen.
Best Prez evah. Just love this guy.
The Twitts are messing with the wrong guy.
Twinks never know when to stop. They act like bitchy little 8th grade teenage girls believe me he thinks hes being cute? I can’t wait.
Twitter did not take the tweet down, but it is hidden from view unless a user wants to see it.

I dont know much about Twitter. How severely will this hidden from view treatment reduce the total number of readers who will see this tweet?
It’s fascinating that I’m seeing this on every news website, radio station and tv news broadcast... yet when Biden said “You aint black if you don’t vote for me” there wasn’t a peep.
Oh wait, who am I kidding that isn’t fascinating at all...
Wow! There is some confusion here among pundits commenting on these events.
Some folks are saying that Twitter is a private company and so we should not object; and that the free market should decide. This is nonsense on about ten levels, beginning with the fact that this is a publicly traded corporation, with Jack Dorsey owning only 2% of its stock. LEGALLY, Dorsey has a fiduciary responsibility to his shareholders, which even under a Shlensky v Wrigley threshold he is clearly neglecting. ETHICALLY, using Milton Friedman logic, he has a duty to maximize shareholder wealth, which he is not doing and has not been doing for years.
As CEO, Dorsey has been on thin ice for many months. Rogue shareholder Paul Singer has been pushing for his ouster.
Those of us critical of the MSM and social media should be pointing to Dorsey’s reckless regard for Twitter’s shareholders. The giant mutual fund Vanguard owns 11% of Twitter’s stock. I have money in Vanguard, as do many millions of other right-leaning investors. If Dorsey makes it through June as CEO I will likely write a nasty letter to Vanguard and close my account. We should all be doing this.
My guess, though, is that Dorsey will soon be gone. This will be another in a long list of Trump wins.
As I understand it you have to read Twitter “disclaimer” before you can see the POTUS actual tweet
It’s quite possible that Twitter could be no more in a few months.
these people are NOT protesters, in fact the interviews I’ve seen of some, clearly have people with accents that are New York or East Coast not Minn.
I’m sure these people, from out of state, are there to cause havoc.
Detroit NEVER, recovered from the race riots there in the 60s-70s...The city was burned down and businesses fled.
The same thing almost happened in Missouri a couple years ago.
You might not have noticed, but Biden was forced to apologize. People on the left were complaining about his statement.
They are not just messing with the President, they are messing with one of the best social media platform operators in Parscale.
I bet if Parscale launched a TrumpNet social media site, Twitter would be done within a year.
Exactly. These people build nothing, it’s basically advertisement.
I bet if Trump had his own network, it would flourish. You would PBS, would be his platform.
He’s been talking about fair and balanced reporting and not getting it. Start you’re own media platform then.
President Trump is playing Twitter like a fiddle. The more they mess with a particular tweet, the more it is broadcast.
These are no more protests than the Benghazi 9-11-2012 terrorist attack was.
Practically no effect.
It does, however, color the readers view when read: ok, wheres the glorifying violence part?
He’s a homofascist
Antifa (by brand name) rioted in Toledo Ohio some years ago blaming it on a never materialized “neonazi march” of a projected 12 or so people who were also coming to that area from out of state.
Antifa is using black people as patsies once again.
And the tactic is nothing new. There is discussion of it from a Communist cell in WB’s I Was A Communist For The FBI. CPUSA made good fundraising off of such stunts.
