U.S. police failing to respect right to peaceful protest: Amnesty International

U.S. police across the country are failing their obligations under international law to respect and facilitate the right to peaceful protest, rights group Amnesty International warned Saturday, adding that this was exacerbating a tense situation and endangering the lives of protesters.

“In city after city, we are witnessing actions that could be considered unnecessary or excessive force," said Rachel Ward, national director of research at Amnesty International USA. "We call for an immediate end to any excessive use of force and for law enforcement to ensure and protect the legal right to protest.”

She added that the use of heavy-duty riot gear and military-grade weapons and equipment to police largely peaceful demonstrations may intimidate protesters who are practicing their right to peaceful assembly.

“Equipping officers in a manner more appropriate for a battlefield may put them in the mindset that confrontation and conflict are inevitable,” she said.

And here come the international communists, otherwise calling themselves Amnesty International, supported and paid for by China to execute even more information warfare against the United States.

So looting and arson are protected by international law, or at least the Constitution of the United States of America?

Funny, I don't remember Amnesty International chiming in when actual peaceful protestors were demanding an end to the lockdown and destruction of businesses. If I didn't know better it would appear AI is in bed with whoever is funding these terrorists.

Peaceful protest comes in many forms.
I remember when Mohamed Noor murdered Justine Ruszczyk, I was so aggrieved that I had no choice but to smash the front window of the Williams Sonoma with a construction boot full of sand and make off with an 18 piece set of copper cookwear.

“U.S. police in Democrat run states and cities are failing their obligations under international law to respect and facilitate the right to peaceful protest”

I suggest this as a correction.

Amnesty Intl is the group that pestered Jordan into releasing the Iraqi official who assisted the 2 9/11 hijackers who later entered the US on the West Coast. He was in Malaysia to pick them up at the airport and drive them to their contact when they were to meet with other terrorists in Kuala Lumpur. This was the terror summit where they planned the USS Cole bombing. After the future hijackers left Malaysia, the Iraqi fled back to the Middle East and ultimately fell into the hands of Jordan. At that point AI raised hell, accusing Jordan of mistreating the guy and generating enough bad press that they let him go and he bolted for Baghdad.

Nobody is stopping anyone from PEACEFULLY protesting.

Problem is, they are not stopping anyone from rioting and looting either.
