Seattle police say they have received reports of armed guards and potential extortion in a self-declared autonomous zone that spans several blocks and includes a now-closed precinct.
“We’ve heard, anecdotally, reports of citizens and businesses being asked to pay a fee to operate within this area. This is the crime of extortion. If anyone has been subjected to this, we need them to call 911,” Assistant Chief of Police Deanna Nollette said on Wednesday.
Demonstrations within the autonomous zone have been mostly peaceful, with no reports of violence, but police say armed guards have been surrounding the perimeter of the region and residents who live within the boundaries are "forced to show ID to prove you “belong” there," a law enforcement official told Fox News.

This is nothing short of an armed takeover of an American community by a hostile group. Those that are in this community Im sure are being held hostage. This needs to be fixed immediately

What are the options when armed forces conquer and hold territory within the United States construct walls and borders with armed border guards within the US. When captured does military or civil law apply? Are these armed military forces of a self proclaimed Autonomous Country protected by the Geneva conventions? Is sending food and water and other aid considered Aiding and abetting an enemy invasion? I don’t know the answers to these questions. I don’t know if these are legitimate questions. But I wonder.
This is an insurrection, and the FBI is AWOL. They can send in a heavily armed squad in a pre-dawn raid to arrest Roger Stone for lying about some emails, but taking over six square blocks and declaring yourself an independent nation? No big deal.
