Soros-Associated Charity Dedicated To Bailing Out Rioters Appears To Pocket $34m+
Alpha News ^ | June 17, 2020 | Kyle Hooten

Posted on 06/17/2020 6:14:46 AM PDT by george76

The MFF has purged their site of all info related to their leadership after it was revealed that they used less than 1% of their $35m in donations for the fund's stated purpose.

...

The Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) only spent $200,000 of the roughly $35,000,000 it collected to bail out rioters arrested in Minneapolis.

The MFF normally takes donations to post the bail for illegal aliens. However, their mission recently pivoted freeing those who were arrested in connection with the George Floyd riots

...

This revelation has caused many outspoken progressives to turn on the MFF as the terms “35 MILLION” and “only 200k” trend on Twitter.

One such commenter is Dr. Eugene Gu who has amassed nearly half a million followers on Twitter by voicing his strongly left leaning political opinions. “I’m not here to pass judgment. Just here to do the math. 200K out of 35 million is 0.57%,” he pointed out, in response to the MFF’s newly revealed spending statistics.

...

The MFF is run by Tonja Honsey, an ex-convict and alumni of left wing billionaire George Soros’s fellowship program.

Been around for a long time. Simply as the “just-us” bros jesse and al. They’ve done quite well at it and finally some new blood has discovered how lucrative it can be to scare virtue signaling rich folks.

All progressives (leftists, socialists, Democrats) ever do is take other people’s money and live fat on it.

Nothing new here.

So, right up there with Clinton Crime Inc's money laundering business segment, also known as The Clinton Foundation.

Now the leftists are upset the MFF scammed them? Gosh, now they're in favor of accountability and responsibility? Great, how about extending that to the personal level - say holding criminals responsible for criminal behavior, not going after law abiding citizens' rights. (eg. the 2nd Amendment)

speaking of Soros and the globalists:

15 Jun: IPS News: UN chief in ‘support migrants’ plea, as remittances drop by 20 per cent predicted
Marking International Day of Family Remittances, the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, has released a message appealing for “people everywhere” to support migrants, at a time when remittances – the money migrants send home to support their families – have fallen by more than $100 billion, causing hunger, lost schooling and deteriorating health, for tens of millions of families.
In his message, Mr. Guterres recognized the determination of the 200 million migrants who regularly send money home, and 800 million families, in communities throughout the developing world, who depend on those resources.
Following a record $554 billion sent home by migrants in 2019, The World Bank estimated, in April, that the economic crisis brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting shutdown, would cause the “sharpest decline in remittances in recent history”, and projected a fall of 19.7 per cent. Millions of migrant workers have lost their jobs, pushing dependent families below the poverty line.

In order to help migrants, “engines of the global economy”, who make “crucial contributions to well-being across the world”, the UN chief called for a reduction in remittance transfer costs, financial services for migrants and their families – particularly in rural areas – and the promotion of financial inclusion for a more secure and stable future...

Wikipedia: HSBC Support for China's Security Law for Hong Kong (2020) In June 2020, on the eve of the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square protests, HSBC took the rare step of wading into political issues by publicly backing Beijing's controversial new national security law for Hong Kong. The chief executive for HSBC's Asia-Pacific division, Peter Wong, signed a petition supporting the law and stated in a post on Chinese social media that HSBC "respects and supports all laws that stabilise Hong Kong's social order."... In response, Joshua Wong, a top Hong Kong pro-democracy activist decried the bank's position stating that HSBC's stance demonstrates “how China will use the national security law as new leverage for more political influence over foreign business community in this global city.”[164] Alistair Carmichael, the U.K. chairman of the All Parliamentary Group on Hong Kong, said HSBC made a serious error by bending to China’s will regarding the security law, calling it "a colossal misjudgment" since it would be seen as a large British corporation advocating for "a fairly flagrant breach of international law" when banks rely on a rules-based system.[162] Human Rights Watch alleged that "the new national security law will deal the most severe blow to the rights of people in Hong Kong since the territory's transfer to China in 1997."... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSBC#Support_for_China's_Security_Law_for_Hong_Kong_(2020)

MFF is (or was) a shoestring operation used to dealing with donations of a few thousand bucks. Now all of the sudden they’ve blown up and have a war chest of $35 million with none of the experience or expertise necessary to know how to put it to use. And they can’t just spend it on other stuff because legally a nonprofit has to spend donation on what they said they were collecting them for.

Hahaha those that would donate to help criminals get what they deserve. The entire BLM is a DNC front group funneling money into the pockets of (rich white) Dem politicians via ActBlue. They can claim it’s a conspiracy but I’d like to see a full audit of BLM and where the money actually goes. Not that anyone in the government has the guts

16 Jun: UN Global Compact: Heads of State join CEOs and UN Chiefs at largest-ever UN convening of global business leaders
New York, United States of America
More than 20,000 sustainability champions attend UN Global Compact’s 20th anniversary Leaders Summit online.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Presidents of Botswana, Colombia, Costa Rica and Ethiopia joined the President of the UN General Assembly and UN Secretary-General alongside dozens of Chief Executive Officers and UN chiefs at the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit to address the private sector’s response to three unprecedented and interconnected global crises — health, inequality and climate change...

During an Asia-Pacific plenary session, the UN Global Compact launched the Action Platform on Sustainable Infrastructure for the Belt and Road Initiative to Accelerate the SDGs. With more than 100 SDG targets linked to infrastructure, the world can benefit from leveraging the Belt and Road Initiative — expected to impact 60 per cent of the world’s population, 40 per cent of world trade and 30 per cent of world GDP — as a collaborative mechanism to further the advancement of the SDGs.
Speaking on the launch, Ren Hongbin, Vice Chairman SASAC and UN Global Compact Board Member, said, “I hope that the Action Platform launched by the UN Global Compact today will serve as a key international mechanism to facilitate the business community’s contribution to boost sustainable infrastructure and investment along the Belt and Road Initiative countries to accelerate the SDGs.”...

At the event, the UN Global Compact, in collaboration with DNV GL, released UN Global Compact 20th-Anniversary Progress Report: Uniting Business in the Decade of Action (LINK) — an analysis of progress businesses have made in embedding the Ten Principles in their strategies and operations to align with the universal values of the UN, and in contributing to the 17 SDGs...

16 Jun: Climate Depot: Lund University academic (Andreas Malm): ‘To Halt Climate Change, We Need an Ecological Leninism’
(Andreas Malm is in the human ecology division at Lund University, Sweden. He is the author of Fossil Capital: The Rise of Steam Power and the Roots of Global Warming, out soon from Verso Books)
Andreas Malm is in the human ecology division at Lund University: “The whole strategic direction of Lenin after 1914 was to turn World War I into a fatal blow against capitalism. This is precisely the same strategic orientation we must embrace today — and this is what I mean by ecological Leninism. We must find a way of turning the environmental crisis into a crisis for fossil capital itself.” ...
“There was a moment in March 2020 when many of us in the climate justice movement felt a degree of surprise to find that governments in Europe and elsewhere were prepared to basically shut down their entire economies in an effort to contain the pandemic. This is striking, given that the same states had never contemplated undertaking any kind of intervention in the economy for the sake of the climate crisis.”

COVID ‘is an opportunity”: “This is an opportunity in the sense that it has brought about a temporary cessation of many of the most environmentally damaging activities, mass aviation has been suspended, carbon emissions have declined, fossil fuels are remaining in the ground, and so on. This is a moment where we can say to governments: “If you were able to intervene to protect us from the virus, you can intervene to protect us from the climate crisis as well, the implications of which are much worse.” The current juncture therefore provides us with an opportunity to oppose the return to business as usual, to push for the transformation of the global economy and the launch of something like a Green New Deal.”...

“State power should definitely be used to prevent luxury emissions perpetrated by the rich — private jets should be banned outright, as should SUVs and other vehicles that consume completely indefensible amounts of fuel. This is low-hanging fruit for the climate justice movement, as these sources of emissions are among the least socially necessary.” ...
“Some forms of consumption will indeed have to be limited or abolished outright — this cannot be done through markets or appeals to ethical consumption, but only through state regulation.” ...

I am assuming this is the normal “not for profit” scam?

While I believe people should be allowed to give money to causes they support, the amount of graft in “charitable” organizations is becoming ridiculous.

The Clinton Foundation is the best example.

I would have no problem with a law that states that any charitable organization for which donors can take a tax deduction must expend 51% of the donations to the cause for which it was established. Believe it or not, this ridiculously low figure would put many of them out of business.

Furthermore, every charitable organization should have to provide a public and full accounting of how the funds were spent down to the dollar. Many of these “charities” pay all the expenses of the administrators like weddings, wedding dresses, etc etc.

If we give them a special status to solicit donations and for donors to deduct the donations, we should demand transparency and accountability that they are in fact a charity. This fraud is out of control.

P.S. - Soros has this down to a science. You donate to one, they shift it to another group, which shifts it to another group. To add insult to injury, they also get taxpayer funding through government agencies and do the same thing - i.e. - a state department grant in Ukraine for “anti-corruption”. I wonder if they shift those funds to another group?

Less than 1% of their $35m in donations for the fund’s stated purpose.

First question how did the democrats launder it and where is it now?.
