Air Force Sergeant With Ties to Extremist Group Charged in Federal Officer’s Death

An Air Force sergeant linked to an anti-government movement was charged with murder and attempted murder on Tuesday in the shooting death of a federal security officer outside a courthouse in Oakland, Calif., last month.

The sergeant had expressed his allegiance to the so-called boogaloo movement by writing with his own blood on the hood of a white Toyota Camry and had used the recent protests against racial injustice as a cover to attack law enforcement, according to the F.B.I.

Staff Sgt. Steven Carrillo, 32, is accused of firing an assault rifle from the open back door of a moving vehicle and gunning down the federal officer, according to the criminal complaint. [...]

“They came to Oakland to kill cops,” John F. Bennett, the special agent in charge of the F.B.I. in San Francisco, said at a news conference on Tuesday.

Evidence tied Sergeant Carrillo to the boogaloo, an extremist ideology that seeks to bring about a second civil war to overthrow the United States government.

I have heard only rumors about this so-called "boogaloo" movement. Don't know what to make of this story.

Boogaloo people....kinda think like Charlie Manson (1969) and think that a ‘war’ will be occurring....involving races and cultures.

I get the impression that some in the Antifa movement would be described as Boogaloo as well, and it’s not just a left or right side to this....just nuts on civil war happening to resolve problems.

Propaganda.

Have you seen the NYT report about the assaults by anti-American blacks on white people screaming “BLM b——“

No?

Gee I wonder why news only seems to flow one way by a media source that overthrew its editor that wanted at least the appearance of objectivity.

Don’t believe ANYTHING from the NYT.

How exactly is that possible?

Don’t believe ANYTHING from the NYT.

They're quoting a criminal complaint filed in federal court by the FBI.

Glad we don’t have any ‘Extremist Groups’ burning down cities...otherwise I’d be worried.

Are you sure?

Did you see quotation marks around that sentence that said he was a boogaloo supporter? Or did they paraphrase because it’s obvious.

Did you see quotation marks around that sentence that said he was a boogaloo supporter? Or did they paraphrase because it’s obvious.

Law 360, a paywall-protected news service for lawyers, quotes "court filings" as saying that "Carrillo appeared to have "used his own blood to write various phrases on the hood of the car that he carjacked," they alleged. The phrases indicate Carrillo was affiliated with the Boogaloo movement, they said, adding that although it is not a defined group, followers generally "identify as militia and share a narrative of inciting a violent uprising against perceived government tyranny.""

“ The phrases indicate Carrillo was affiliated with the Boogaloo movement”

That’s not a quote of the report. That’s reading into what the report described.

It’s real, unfortunately. I had never heard of it until I saw a relative’s name associated with it.

I am certain it’s being funded by Soros and his gang, just like BLM and Antifafa.

The is no such thing as a “boogaloo” movement. So stupid!

The boog is just an adjective. A funny one at that.
