Social media was abuzz Saturday night with claims that President Trump opponents, many of them teenagers and K-Pop fans, guaranteed that hundreds, even thousands of seats for the Tulsa rally remained empty — by bulk “reserving” tickets they had no intention of using.
Trump had blamed protests and media-stoked fears of the coronavirus for the large swaths of empty seats.
“Actually, you just got ROCKED by teens on TikTok who flooded the Trump campaign w/fake ticket reservations & tricked you into believing a million people wanted your white supremacist open mic enough to pack an arena during COVID,” progressive New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted at Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager.
“Shout out to Zoomers,” she said, calling some of the ticket-hoarders “KPop stans.”
“Y’all make me so proud,” she added.
A loosely-organized campaign on TikTok included Trump opponents of all ages — including one calling herself “#TikTokGrandma.”
“Go reserve tickets now and leave him standing there alone on the stage, what do you say?” she urged.
She advised that the Trump campaign was allowing reservations for two free tickets per cell phone number.
“When you register you have to give them your cell phone number,” she said in a video.
“They send you a code, you put the code in, and your tickets are reserved for you.”
Afraid you’ll get deluged with annoying Trump campaign texts? Not to worry, she advised.
“Once you text “stop” they have to stop texting you, that’s the law” she said.
Political strategist and avowed Trump opponent Steve Schmidt claimed his 16-year-old daughter and her pals together purchased “hundreds of tickets.”
“I’m dead serious when I say this. The teens of America have struck a savage blow against @realDonaldTrump,” Schmidt tweeted.

Even with those childish antics, President Trump spoke to a nearly packed house while Sleepy Joe Biden spoke to a nearly empty house.
Tickets don't cost a dime, there are NO reserved seated, a ticket with a seat number, as it's always based on first come first served! Why else do people camp out for days to just get inside a Trump Rally?
And you know what? Even back in the day, at Nixon rallies it worked the SAME way and those were as electrifying and Trump's are...with just as much excitment!

Should have charged five bucks a ticket. Not enough that it’s an impediment to legit people but would stop people from making thousands of fake reservations.

From what I understand, the “thousands of empty seats’ was a myth, the Media showing videos the arena five hours before Trump started speaking, edited to look like it was during his speech, and that there were still thousands of people outside who couldn’t get in.
Maybe someone who was there could say whether this is true.

I wish at least 19,000 showed up. 6600 is ok for a blue or purple state but Oklahoma is one of our reddest. Biden hasn’t had a rally yet.
