At least two sheriff’s in Washington are objecting to Gov. Jay Inslee’s statewide mandate for people to wear masks in public to slow the spread of coronavirus.
On Tuesday, Lewis County Sheriff Robert Snaza told a crowd: “Don’t be a sheep.” Snaza was talking about Inslee’s face-covering directive, which the governor announced earlier this week.

Klickitat County Sheriff Bob Songer also blasted Inslee’s order in an interview with Oregon Public Broadcasting. Songer called the governor an “idiot” and said he’s “overstepping his bounds, violating people’s constitutional rights.”

The order making masks mandatory takes effect Friday. A violation is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail or a maximum fine of $1,000.

King county where Seattle is, had the mask requirement for a month.
Maybe half the people wear it that I see out here in the burbs.
No place I have gone makes it a requirement.

Inslee is a Certified Moron. My dog tried to kill him when I walked her in park one Sunday morning.

“Idiot” and “Certified Moron” are way too polite and non accurate as that would require profanity.
With all these areas making mask wearing mandatory (or so they say) someone pointed out that it is or may be a sneaky way to allow the protestors/rioters to wear masks in public where it is NORMALLY illegal (though a lot of places hadn’t been enforcing it BEFORE beerflu hit the scene)
Sheriff Snaza is not perfect, but he is very good at his job. I was at the rally, and it was awesome. The pent up energy was palpable. My feeling is that people were hoping Aunt Teefa and/or BLM would show up. People are tired of watching hapless, hopeless, hairless and fearful leaders micurate into their mini-pads. People are itching for a contact with these alien entities, like opening day for Elk. For too long we watched as Olympia, Portland, Vancouver and Seattle bowed to these punks. The bowing MUST be over now.
