I may have fallen off the pumpkin truck, but I didn't fall off yesterday. It took me a while to get the actual strategy behind these Hoax Polls.
Of course the polls are biased. Bias doesn't even begin to cover them now. But Demented Perv Biteme by 10? 12? 14??? White man, please.
It came together yesterday via several stories about "Trump Faces Landslide Defeat," "Trump Endangers Senate Majority." There were several quoting senators who were getting antsy, including senators like Mike Braun who should know better. One, but little Jim Accosted, said something like "Trump Faces Landslide Loss but Refuses to Change His Message."
Wait, what?
Then I got it. Why would little Accosted be concerned about the GOP losing its senate majority? If Trump's "tone" was so bad, why would Accosted or any other leftist want him to change it? Wouldn't the pollsters, if anything, want to make him appear competitive if he is indeed losing?
THEY WANT TO CHANGE TRUMP'S MESSAGING. Far from being ineffective, it must be deadly effective cuz they are desperate for him to get off it. That's goal #1. There is a second goal and it's an either/both situation: they want the senators to distance themselves from Trump so they can pick them off easier. Many of these senators---Gardner, McSally, for example---can ONLY win with near 100% GOP support. (McSally lost 10,000 GOP votes in 2016 to Enema).
If they can peel away the senators, the senators become sitting ducks. Isolated and without a tie to Trump, senators are far less likely to benefit from a high GOP turnout.
Then there was one more piece of evidence about how horribly off the polls are: Let's assume Demented Perv Biteme is, er, demented. Let's assume, as almost everyone does, that if elected, he'd be out in six months and his veep would take over. That makes the veep the real candidate. That makes the veep the REAL PRESIDENT very soon.
So here you are, an ambitious DemoKKKrat and you have the fast track to the presidency in less than a year.
But NO ONE wants the job. Nobody. Demented Perv Biteme can't give it away. Gee, why? After all, he's "up by 14." No. They know he's getting crushed. They know they are looking at a 320-340 or worse electoral landslide and probably a popular vote loss too.
Anyone remember William Miller? How about Ed Muskie? You wouldn't know Geraldine Ferraro except for one footnote, "First female veep candidate." NONE of these people did a thing after a crushing loss as veep. You can throw in Silky Pony after losing with Lurch in 2004.
In other words, everyone knows that the fastest road to obscurity is to lose in a landslide. You are the plague. Your political career is over.
THAT is what all these veeps see in the Biteme veep-ship. THAT is why none of them want it.
In short, the evidence tells me that the Hoax Polling is designed to get Trump to change his message; to separate the senators from him. The reluctance of any DemoKKKrat to be Biteme's running mate tells me that Trump's message is being very effective.

Now only if the mushy Republicans can understand how Trump won in 2016, and if they finally learn being “nice” to the media is not a winning strategy.
I agree with you, polling at this stage and current environment is a mugs game. Let the LEFT push it and, perhaps, they will feel the game is won already. We, on the other hand, will walk through hell to vote!

But I also think they want to continue to contest Republican wins. It’s Hillary all over. The Democrat is inevitable. Everybody knows Biden will win. Hey, he’s up by 14, right?
And then what happens? Trump landslide??? Why, it must be GOP stealing the election. Because Russia. Time to burn the cities down some more. The Left has nothing left but destruction and they need to justify it.
I am a Trump supporter that would vote for him if I had to walk over hot coals. BUT I would never tell a stranger on a phone call, no matter who they say they are. I am even skeptical of calls from RNC or Trump campaign. Too easy to fake a call these days. This election may spell the loss of all credibility of polls.
Its more likely to energize the leftist base and suppress the GOP and independent turnout.
Muskie didn’t lose is a landslide. He later served as Secretary of State.

Good summation and I agree. You hear from various people that Biden is going to pick Sasquatch and I think for the reason you stated, she does not want to go down with the biden ship.
Any time the MSM comes out and states ‘this senator or that’ is mad at Trump for whatever reason, that senator needs to come out immediately, on every platform, and shoot it down. Don’t let it marinate.
Thanks, LS. I knew they were crap polls, but never quite figured out their angle. All the regular folks I talk to are livid about the current circumstances, but careful about those in whom they confide.
I voted for Trump last time because I felt the DC corruption to be pervasive, Trump understood that, and was an outsider willing to do something about it. The media and DC collaborated to unambiguously confirm my suspicions. I have transformed from a Trump supporter to a broken glass, venture off my death bed to vote, MAGA cap-wearing staunch Trump believer. I think there are millions upon millions of quiet, angry voters who feel just like me.
The faulty polls most likely serve a number of purposes but I think one of them is to gin up excitement in their base. The dem base is so stupid they can easily be duped into believing the dem candidate is worthy of voting for. ‘See! everyone else likes him!!’
The dims (including their media arm) have painted themselves into a corner with the “woman of color” VP bit, which will wear thin in a few months because blue color voters will have race fatigue by then, the economy will continue on its current v-shaped recovery and the ‘rona will be fading away, quite possibly even a vaccine by then.
They must continue this gaslighting, whether it’s racism, kung flu number manipulation, or that book by the niece (every bit as successful as Bolton’s blockbuster). Tucker’s monologue last night resonated, but he needn’t worry. Let Trump be Trump. I’m surprised there are so many chicken littles here after what happened in 2016, but I’d rather be Trump than the dims. It will be Trump vs Susan Rice I believe.

I guess another thing that makes this year’s Senate race critical, is the increasing likelihood that Ruth Bader Ginsburg might survive to make it over the line into the next term.
He lost by 110 EC votes. I call that a landslide

I respectfully disagree because the ticket is going to be Big Mike and Amy; always was going to be.
Big Mike will be rolled out as a non-partisan unifier, and the ticket will be swathed in the gauzy euphoria of two “women” leading our nation back to peace, healing and unity, after a horrible, terrible time of sickness, division, and incivility.
Absurd? Absolutely. And a winning ticket in our post-reality world of stupidity and virtue signaling, where even “conservatives” want to feel the rush.
