“Thanks Bush. Thanks Roberts.
I wish Roberts had been aborted. “

Are there any Bush supporters left on FR?

Here’s an oldie but a goodie to extend the warmth for W:

If I heard correctly, the Louisiana law was based on the Texas law which is fine.

The person who sponsored the Louisiana law is .... [ wait for it and I’ll be politically correct] .... African-American - Female - Democrat

The Democrat lawmaker who sponsored the Louisiana abortion health and safety law that was struck down by the Supreme Court Monday condemned the ruling, saying, “unelected justices have substituted their policy preferences over the clear will of the people of my great state.”

State Sen. Katrina Jackson said in a video message, “As long as the Supreme Court continues to meddle in an area that rightfully belongs in the democratic process, women will remain subject to substandard abortion facilities.”

Wonder how many folks know that.

Conservatives were smart to take a page out of the Left wing anti-smoking playbook.

It was wildly successful. Smoking is bad. Try incrementalism. Just some non-smoking sections on airplanes. That’s all we want. Then we will leave you alone.

Killing babies is bad. All we want are some reasonable restrictions. We’re not trying to ban it. Just make it as hard as finding a bar in NYC or SF to smoke.

Liberal logic:

Abortion is a choice
Smoking is murder

Roberts is an idiot.

If a doctor can’t obtain something as simple as admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, something is seriously wrong with his credentials.

Do Supreme Court Justices need to recluse themselves?
Justice Roberts has active epilepsy. Human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) used for treatment of epilepsy:

Stem cell discovery could aid in developing treatments to control epileptic convulsions
“This led the Koch- Brüstle research team to the next step, which is outlined in the current SCTM paper. Dr. Daniel Poppe, first author of the study, explained: “With the advent of human pluripotent stem cells, such as human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) or induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), human cell populations are now available that can be efficiently differentiated into neural progenitors and their progeny.” “In this context we described a population of hESC-derived, long-term self-renewing neuroepithelial stem cells (lt-NES). Similar to pluripotent stem cells, this population exhibits strong self-renewal capacity enabling genetic modification, subsequent clonal selection and expansion at a scale sufficient for potential therapy,” added Dr. Koch.”

This is the consequence of the radicals taking over the Democrat party since the 70s. Yes, that drove the Democrats further left, but it also drove the Republicans further left, since anyone who was not a full-blown Communist now seems rather right wing in comparison to the Democrats. Thus people like George W. Bush and John Roberts can fit in with the Republicans, even though they hold views not much different from a mainstream Democrat from the 60s.
