Diners at two Los Angeles taco stands have screamed, cursed and thrown drinks on employees trying to enforce a “no mask, no service” policy, the Los Angeles Times reports.
It’s become so exhausting that Hugo’s Tacos has closed down both shops to give workers a break, owners wrote in a post on Twitter.
“All because of a simple question: Can we ask you to put on a mask? Can we offer you a mask?” said part-owner Bill Kohne, according to the Los Angeles Times. The company has been serving tacos for 15 years, owners wrote in the Twitter post.
Incidents, often captured on video, of people refusing to wear masks or trying to force their way into businesses without masks have been reported in recent weeks across the United States.

Cases have doubled to 40,000 in one day but only 250 people died. And out of those, who knows how many really died from it?
It’s just not a good pandemic movie when not a whole lot of people are dying.

They should take their anger out on the politicians they voted for. The employees don’t have a lot of choice. Since it is California it’s a 70% chance the voted for it. They are getting what they asked for. But, even if they didn’t vote for this the employees are still not the one to be angry at.
This is irrespective of whether you agree with the mask policy. The employees don’t deserve the abuse.
The store manager can put the rules up, but the cashiers are usually the one’s on the front line, taking most the guff from people. Better for the customer to decide before going into a business, if they’re willing to go along with the current rules, yes or no.
If you get a break, with not having to wear a mask, there is usually some busybody with a cell camera waiting to tattle.The store could be closed down again, after having just reopened, post virus.
We have a farmer’s market that is open on Saturday mornings. It is open air and usually 90f or better. The f’ing Karens insist that patrons wear a mask.
No more of that.
I don’t know how i missed the whole “karen’ thing.

It hits 90+ routinely here in Columbia, SC and the karens that apparently do next to nothing outside want mandatory masks for the people in the burbs.
Guys like me who cut the grass, do the outside home maintenance and repair, and actual productive stuff.
I despise those worthless harpies as much as I despise Hill, Nan, and the rest of the liberal control freaks.
Outdoors, masks are pointless. All the super spreadiing events were indoors.
