Some University of Wisconsin-Madison students of color want the university to remove one of its most iconic landmarks, a statue of Abraham Lincoln, because of what they see as the former president’s anti-indigenous and anti-Black history despite Lincoln’s legacy of ending slavery in the U.S.
Two student organizations, the Black Student Union and the Student Inclusion Coalition, pushed for the statue’s removal in early June, days after George Floyd died in Minneapolis police custody and protests erupted nationally over racial injustice.

Just another in a long line of examples of how many, if not most, college degrees handed out these days are not worth the paper they are printed on. Zero wisdom is taught at these places.
Abe Lincoln is not pure enough for the woke generation. That’s okay. If they start CWII with Trump in office, we’ll have another successful republican president holding the country together through a democrat Civil War. Perhaps they will then learn to admire Trump.
Ask the students in what century Lincoln lived. I’d bet you get the old dead fish expression from the students.
Sounds like the university did a poor job of choosing students who’d been educated.

Lincoln said some things regarding race that the “party of Lincoln” will not be wild about, much less the other party. None of this stuff has anything to do with party or ideology or history anyway.
There is a reason they are still “students”. Unfortunately, schools no longer provide the learning they desperately need.
Ths Studet Inclusion Coalition does not believe in Inclusion. Madison campus is probably the most wacko liberal of them all.
Would the black ones like to be slaves again?

Thanks to Lincoln, U Wisconsin, Madison became one of the first Land Grant Universities, which is one of the reasons his statue is prominently displayed there.
When I used to work on the UW-Madison campus, I walked past the statue of Lincoln almost daily.
Legend had it, that if a female virgin walked past that statue, old Abe would stand up and salute.
I watched often, and never once did I see old Abe rise from his seat.
Where does it end?

Who wants that? We need to spit into two, perhaps three independent countries.
Take it down and replace it with a statue of Marcus Garvey.
