Clay County Sheriff Darryl Daniels says "lawlessness" is unacceptable
(Excerpt) Read more at youtu.be ...
“”So, in the case where someone is deputized, does he get the protections usually (but not lately) that go with acting in a law enforcement role, or is he exposed as some sort of vigilante.””
They’ll have as much protection as anybody else in the department.
Fortunately patriots ignored such irrelevant & pussified considerations when they gathered at the Concord bridge...
It is becoming eminently clear that another "Bastogne" action today would end up in surrender...
Which means you better check to see if the city/town has a Dem mayor who won't support you, or a Dem DA who will charge you
“What would Sheriff Israel do?”
Hide,
The Sheriffs Dept are not employee’s of the city. The Sheriff is the most powerful person in the county.
I agree, and the mob should be dealt with using batons, cattle
prods and lead.
So, in the case where someone is deputized,
The sheriff of Habersham county here in N GA has said the same thing.
Now you know why the Left disparages Florida...,
Hi.
Grady Judd, sheriff of Polk county Florida says don’t come into his county and riot. He has plenty of deputies and bullets.
5.56mm
Why do you ask?
“If youre deputized and things go badly South, will the legal system stand behind you as a deputy, or single you out and turn on you? Its not as if you have a police union at your back, for better or worse.”
Anyone so deputized must be very cautious in using force - just as a regular law enforcement officer. You must be absolutely sure you are in the right and have not created the need for deadly force in the first place.
Even if the state prosecutor in your jurisdiction does not file charges over your use of force, it doesn’t mean the governor under national pressure won’t appoint a special prosecutor - or that federal officials now or years later will not file federal hate crime charges.
All that said, when a sheriff makes such a proclamation, local thugs must wonder if they want to test the community’s resolve.
When thugs hesitate, that’s a good thing.
Good idea but here is more conservative
Sounds like my kind of Sheriff!
Im sure Im missing something here, but my copy of the Constitution ends at Article VII. Ive never seen Article IX except in the Bill of Rights and we call that one the Ninth Amendment.
Ive always been curious about the powers held by the local Sheriff but Ive never seen them enumerated. Does anybody have an unabridged version of the Constitution that I could reference?
“If youre deputized and things go badly South, will the legal system stand behind you as a deputy, or single you out and turn on you? Its not as if you have a police union at your back, for better or worse.”
Easy answer. The constitutional sheriff has the legal and armed muscle to protect the community. What makes you think that a leftist prosecutor will survive in a county run by a constitutional sheriff?

What we have is called a Sheriff’s Posse. When the SO is short staffed they go out with deputies as a partner. The Deputy is in charge at all times.
