Washington’s “invasive,” “coercive” and “unprecedented” directive requiring residents to wear a mask or equivalent face covering in public places has been challenged by a lawsuit arguing the state cannot compel citizens to meekly support whatever newest guess the government is making when responding to the COVID-19 virus.
Filed in Lewis County Superior Court on Wednesday by the Freedom Foundation on behalf of seven state residents, the action targets the face coverings order issued on June 24 by Washington Secretary of Health Dr. John Wiesman.

Locally, individually, masks and other precautions may indeed be wise.
Statewide or nationwide , of course, they’re nuts.
Mayor Garcetti actually stood up at a news conference today and locked down ALL beaches and parks, THEN in the same breath welcomed the protesters into the streets over this Independence Day weekend!! This is absolute BULLSHIT!! I am telling you they are PISSING OFF regular working Americans they ALWAYS just push the envelope to far!! I predict winning ALL of our pubbie seats back that were stolen in 2018!,These Dems just always overplay their hand ALWAYS!!

Facemasks always remind me of the loss of our freedoms, specifically the freedom of speech.
Of course, now that Trump has come out in favor of masks...although he did say that he didn’t want a national order - this is going to be harder. Very disappointed.
well I have asthma and cannot wear a mask so if I ma refused to a store then correct me if I am wrong but are they not breaking the law and discriminating under the ADA?
