The violence in Chicago over Independence Day weekend may not have been quite as bad as the massacre that John wrote about two weeks ago, but it was still pretty awful. There were crowds of people out and about in the Windy City, but not all of them were looking to celebrate our nation’s independence. By the middle of the day on Sunday, the Associated Press reported that there were “at least” 13 people killed and nearly 60 more shot around the city. And as it turns out, the AP was lowballing the figures.

I caught one of my guns running down my driveway the other day. Luckily I was able to catch it and wrestle it to the ground without injury. Guns are not very smart. It wasn’t loaded.
But it had a new sticker on it that said, “Chicago or bust”.
It’s Black Violence, NOT gun violence.
Guns are just a tool.

That’s why I threw mine overboard last time I went boating. They just could not be trusted anymore.

If you ever get stopped for speeding in Chicago, just blame the car.
Everybody in my neighborhood has guns. We don’t have police, we don’t have serious crime, we especially don’t have gun crime.
Either our guns or the people are different from Chicago people and their guns.
