Atlanta, GA Following weeks of dramatically increased violent crime and property destruction in the City of Atlanta, the July Fourth weekend saw over thirty Georgians wounded by gunfire, including five confirmed dead. Today Governor Kemp issued Executive Order 07.06.20.01, which declares a State of Emergency across Georgia and authorizes the activation of as many as 1,000 Georgia National Guard troops.
Peaceful protests were hijacked by criminals with a dangerous, destructive agenda. Now, innocent Georgians are being targeted, shot, and left for dead, said Governor Kemp. This lawlessness must be stopped and order restored in our capital city. I have declared a State of Emergency and called up the Georgia Guard because the safety of our citizens comes first. This measure will allow troops to protect state property and dispatch state law enforcement officers to patrol our streets. Enough with the tough talk. We must protect the lives and livelihoods of all Georgians.
Well, good morning Governor. How was your very long nap?
Who knew that enforcing the law saves lives?
Is he going after dogs for crapping on lawns too??
To get Off It!
But will the mostly peaceful protesters allow cops in the Wendy’s zone?
The violent ones did not hijack anything. The protesters who are there know what is going on. They are part of the same mob and are facilitating the violence. The protesters are not peaceful.
These Democrats who control these cities are going to get their just desserts.
PREPARE to act UNCIVILIZED toward the UNCIVIL. - PGalt
Civilization is the progress toward a society of privacy. The savages whole existence is public, ruled by the laws of his tribe. Civilization is the process of setting man free from men.
The precondition of a civilized society is the barring of physical force from social relationshipsthus establishing the principle that if men wish to deal with one another, they may do so only by means of reason: by discussion, persuasion and voluntary, uncoerced agreement.
The necessary consequence of mans right to life is his right to self-defense. In a civilized society, force may be used only in retaliation and only against those who initiate its use.
Just keep them out of Atlanta, governor. Atlanta is Mayor Bottoms problem to fix, not yours. Bail her out now and shell have no incentive to fix anything, evet
One wonders why BLM won’t step up and defend the lives of their fellow brothers and sisters? Most be embarrassing for them to have “the man” protect the innocent.
I noticed his comment Enough with the tough talk.
obviously referred to the jackass mayor of Atlanta a BF Democrat and about as competent and as useful as you might expect. Still she accomplished more than the left's GA darling Stacy Abrams referred to as the "ghettopotamus" from her physical resemblance (mouth always open, gap between her tusks, an overall size)and her constant whining about how she lost the election because of "voter suppression" Typical ghetto "nothing that happens to me is ever my fault" attitude.
That’s the way you maintain Law and Order.
Will IL Governor do the same.....
of course not
They are human shields, just like muslim women who use their children as cover for their husbands and their terrorism.
Bingo! Gov George was asleep at the wheel. Keisha the BLM/Dem slave-blood mayor thought the bro’s would be OK shooting crackers at Wendy’s. But Georgie sees a flaw in her thinking now. He’s gonna solve this. Send in 1,000,000 troops!
How about Officer Garrett Rolfe? How about getting the dogs off the backs of APD?
The Wendys zone was cleaned up today: trash (memorial) removed, trespassers evicted, concrete barriers installed.
This was supposed to be a community space.
No, its private property and yall are trespassing.
What are we supposed to do?
Leave. Obey the law already.
Are they gonna put another Wendys here?
Why? Take the insurance and build where murders arent common.
Better late than never, I suppose...
