Actually, the N95 masks I wear do block smells, for the most part. I’m know the thin surgical ones don’t, though—had to wear one recently and it was like not wearing a mask at all.

Funny, isn’t it?
I wore a mask over the weekend, was cleaning wheat seed. Very dusty job.
Past that it has been almost a month since I wore one in public.
By and large, for here, they are totally worthless.
