Staring at a rout, Trump believes the polls, even if many here don’t.

“Staring at a rout, Trump believes the polls, even if many here don’t.”

This is a positive. It means that Trump knows he is far ahead.

He is behind, but not by huge numbers. Yesterday was great, he needs to keep hammering Biden’s drift to the Left.

Trump isn’t staring at a rout. Not even close. And he knows the public polls are BS. But it’s his philosophy to always campaigns like he’s 30 points down, regardless of whether he is or not. He’s said this himself many times.

He must have been looking at a rout in 2016 as well because I believe he changes mangers twice.

<<< >>> Staring at a rout, Trump believes the polls, even if many here don’t. <<< >>>

Which polls does Trump believe?

The hoax media’s polls, or the same pollsters that were dead wrong in the past?

Nope. He changed course three times in 2016 as events changed. He was not staring at a rout. He wanted a different leader based on the change in environment. Their campaign plan heading into 2020 was solid. Riding a killer economy and looking to pickoff new voter groups. COVID and racial unrest have changed the game. Parscale is still doing what he does best and they got someone in to steer the new strategy.

Agreed. People here still don't understand the polls were correct in 2016 - the national polls - that Hillary would win by 2 or 3 points and she did. And yes, I am more than aware it is 50 elections. However, winning the popular vote adds legitimacy to a presidency.

At the moment, Trump is not feared in either the House or Senate. Even the Senate republicans work against him behind the scenes. If Trump won the popular vote, it would add to his clout.

Trump had said before covid, that he would campaign in California, not to win the state, but to cut the margin of loss to help him win the popular vote.

Well, campaigning in Cali is out now, since this campaign will be mostly from the White House as evidenced by yesterday's event. It appears his rallies will be a rare event, so this will be much tougher. Even the convention in Jacksonville is fluid. They are now thinking making it an outdoor event, but I don't think anyone knows exactly what it will be like. Regardless, forget Cali, Trump will have to focus on FL, PA, MI and WI. Iowa, NH, AZ, too.

“Staring at a rout, Trump believes the polls, even if many here don’t.”

That’s a broad supposition. Could be that others advised him to do this. Could be that there are specific factors that make the new person a better choice. Further, to your point, why in the world would polls be more accurate now than they were in 2016? Why would anyone make that supposition?

You can’t just dismiss the polls. They’re probably fake, but in case they aren’t, you need to strategize.

Its good to let him believe the polls, I would rather if Trump believes he is 5 points behind then to be a head. That was how he won last time, and this time is going to be more challenging.

Trump needs to sell the message that Democrats are about chaos and destruction and he and his allies are about peace and prosperity

I think he needs to concentrate on suburban voters who like their police and black males who are tired of this race baiting crap the democrats bring.

Issues 2020
School Choice
Police
law and order
property rights
economy
immigration
foreign policy

not in any particular order

A few days ago the LA teachers’ union released a statement that they won’t go back to work because of covid unless medicare for all is passed, defunding the police, get rid of charter schools and of course, can’t forget to give these people who haven’t worked since March a 250 million dollar pay raise as well.

That is what we are dealing with right now.

Make it a national campaign issue of why public schools need competition, let parents decide if that school district is worthy of their child’s attendance.

Whether or not you believe ‘the polls,’ just winning the Presidency isn’t enough.

It has to be a total rout for the other side if we want anything done.

Otherwise we’ll get Paul Ryan and his ilk for 4 more years. GAG.

“Staring at a rout, Trump believes the polls, even if many here don’t.”

You are the exact reason I took a break from FR for a week. I am so tired of defeatist cucks like you who always try to depress everyone. Trump has every single voter for him from 2016 and many more now. Joe Biden is not going to win unless there is massive cheating.

Suggest if other Freepers are tired of a holes nwrep who get on here and try to depress everyone- get on Parler and get active. You will feel much happier.
