A Minnesota judge on Tuesday lifted a gag order that restricted comments from attorneys and others associated with the criminal case concerning the four former Minneapolis police officers involved in the death of George Floyd.

Hennepin County District Judge Peter Cahill vacated the order after the move was met with pushback from a coalition of news organizations and attorneys representing the former officers, The Associated Press reported. In making the decision, Cahill said that he agreed with the argument from defense attorneys that a gag order would unfairly prevent their clients from addressing negative press reports.

Seems reasonable to me since the police have already been tried and convicted by public opinion.

However, if they get a fair trail I believe they are going to be found Not Guilty. Which will lead to more democrat areas being burned.

lifted a gag order

Where in our constitution are judges allowed to impose universal gag orders on those presumed innocent until a jury of their peers find them guilty after a trial in which they are accorded due process.

At this point, the beset citizens of Minneapolis are likely planning vacations in which they've scheduled a trip to piss on Floyd's grave marker.

It’s not going to matter. The narrative, like “hands up, don’t shoot”, has already been woven into society.

They should push to have the trial outside the city.

Well, the jury probably won't be as worried about what will happen if a "not guilty" verdict is reached. The riots have not stopped and will probably still be going on during the trial.

Well that murder two charge is going nowhere. They always overcharge these guys before the evidence becomes clear. Now when he gets off the blacks will be furious.
