Alexander has always been a loyal toadie of the Howard Baker wing of the Tennessee GOP-E . The East Tennessee Republicans always skewed the conservative state of Tennessee into the moderate faction of the national GOP movement.

After replacing Bob Corker(another GOP-E toadie from East TN.)It remains to be seen if Marsha Blackburn will go GOP-E. She was very good when she represented my district in Congress(7th cong district) By one study, is the most conservative district in the nation(includes Fort Campbell)

So far she's been a reliable soldier for President Trump. We'll know for sure when he leaves office.

History says Tennessee is a Republican state but is not a conservative state. Conservative Tennesseans repeatedly fail to elect candidates with solid conservative credentials. The voters accept the moderate GOPe types instead.

Even in my very conservative district, true conservatives are rejected for a moderate Republican. When a true conservative was elected, he was rejected for the more moderate Republican Dr Phil Roe

Time after time, Tennessee will have two very good conservatives split the conservative vote while the 'moderate' will walk away with the primary so Tennessee voters select the 'lesser of two evils in the general.

It happens so much it cannot be coincidence. That's how we got Corker, being the most recent example. Somehow GOP-E slipped up and allowed Marsha to get through.

Or did they? Time will tell.

I believe that a few months ago she made a point to distance herself from her feckless uncle. I think it was about six months ago when I noticed that when she was a guest on any show, the “Romney” no longer appeared in the middle of her name. It was just “Ronna McDaniel”.

I dunno. She always comes across as being rabidly in favor of PDJT. And back in 2016 when Uncle Mitt was running against Trump, she was 100% Trump, and brought in her state for him. I think he gives her a ton of credit for his win since she begged him to keep coming to Michigan to campaign. Begged.

The family team I never will understand is why he chose Chao for his cabinet when she’s married to Mitch. Such a conflict. But considering how corrupt Mitch is, he probably told PDJT that Chao is the only candidate the Senate would confirm.

Chao was a clear tipoff. But he also had Wilbur On-His-Last-Legs Ross from the Rothschild conglomerate, Minuchin from Goldman, of course Azar and Hahn from Big Pharma, etc., etc.

He loaded up on Deep Staters pretty much across the board. I put it to when he put the whole transition staffing team nominally under Creep State Pence, but really under Jared and his president of Genie Energy pal, etc., to bring in fully Mossad-vetted players.

Given all that it is amazing what Trump got done before they ankled the whole country in order to stop him.
