It’s very interesting watching mayors and governors making up rules etc and exerting their powers throughout this covid virus.......I’ve never seen so many acting on their own and often having little to do with the virus itself.

It's hard to imagine how we get past this without a Constitutional amendment making all this illegal.

Go ahead...try it. You will be creating a health, fire and safety hazard.

The mayor has no authority to cutoff utilities to individuals. Furthermore, in order to cutoff power to a single home, you have to visit the home and shut off power at the meter. Ditto with the water. It’s not like cable television where all someone has to do is type a few keystrokes into a computer to turn off service.
Which means that officers have to accompany utility workers to the home that is causing the trouble. So why not just have the officers deal directly with the unruly homeowners?

As a matter of law, the Mayor of Los Angeles has no power to shut down anything, something he has admitted in the past.

Omnipotence is nice.
(And throughout all of this the elected officials in the federal government, sworn by their individual oaths to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution" (I still presume -- though my confidence is waning -- this statement includes the rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights) remain mute, passive and, clearly, disinterested in how American citizens are being abused and harmed by politicians and unelected bureaucrats.
Even worse, many Americans -- Right and Left; women and former "men" -- comfortably go along with each new command issued by their "new daddies".

Have parties on his properties. If he does not cut the power or water, then let the lawsuits fly.
