If memory serves me correctly back in the sixties there were riots in Chicago and democrat mayor Richard J Daley issued orders to shoot to wound or maim looters and to shoot to KILL anyone setting fires. No trial needed. What a change from then till now.
Maybe multi-racial / multi-ethnic societies are simply not viable in the long run... unless held together by sufficient brute force (like Tito’s Yugoslavia, and when the strongman dies, they disintegrate in a bloody civil war).
We are not allowed to consider any alternatives to the current state.
We are not a nation in any “blood and soil” sense. Such ideas are marginalized.
Neither we are a nation of disparate people held together by a strong common faith or a strong, assertive common culture.
Things fall apart, the center cannot hold...
