A recent landmark poll of 20,000 citizens undertaken by the Knight Foundation and Gallup found that Americans’ hope for and trust in an objective media is all but lost. They see not only an ever-growing partisanship in news reporting but a determination by the mainstream media to push a political agenda instead of honestly disseminating the news. While generic faith in the media has been gradually declining over recent decades, the precipitous drop in trust and questions about what motivates the mainstream media can be traced to June 2015 and Donald Trump’s entry into the presidential sweepstakes.
This latest Gallup poll is the most devastating indictment of the media in polling history. Some highlights:
84% of surveyed Americans lay either a moderate or a great deal of the blame for today’s partisan hostility at the feet of the media.Further, 82% believe news outlets are either deliberately “misrepresenting the facts” or are “making them up entirely”.
This is further amplified as 79% of those surveyed say media outlets are trying to persuade people to adopt a certain opinion about an issue or an individual.
Similarly, while the respondents in the poll believe that the media is “critical” or “very important” to democracy, 86% say they have witnessed either a fair amount or a great deal of bias in news reporting. Damningly, 78% feel that this bias is reflected in the spread of fake news which “is a major” problem” that exceeds all other in the mainstream media environment. [emphases added]
By contrast, in 2007 62% of respondents in a Pew Research poll claimed to have witnessed either a fair amount or a great deal of bias in news reporting; in another Pew Research poll in 2012, that result increased slightly to 67% as compared to 86% today.

All good and fine, but then if you ask them whether Trump ‘colluded’ with Russia or whether Trump is a racist, you quickly find that they are simply UNABLE to stop believing the same media that they know lies to them.
It is now a cynical game of who can promote their message most effectively. The left doesn’t hide anymore because they have calculated that Google and the other leftist big tech giants will push their message hard enough that they will just overwhelm freedom loving Americans. No more pretense. It’s just about brute information strength at this point.

Do they not have children? Do they not want their children to grow up loving our country?

Despite those hideous numbers I don’t expect the media is going to change a damned thing about what they’ve been doing.

It only seems like they are not profitable. Look at Bezos, owner of the Washington Post. He’s indirectly making billions from WaPo’s campaign to discredit President Trump.
Recently a new postmaster general came in. And we may soon see anti-monopoly policy coming. Bezos made an investment. Yes, the paper itself is a loser, but the policies they espouse are a winner for him personally.
The same can be said for CNN who probably gets payoffs from
China. If so, it means AT&T, one of our largest communications companies is conspiring to take down our Government.
Disney, Comcast, Amazon, and AT&T own and control media properties whose mission is to destroy Western civilization.
My local news in Redding, Ca., ran some commercials for their news show where they showed a reporter asking
” What does defunding police mean ? “
A journalist would have opened a dictionary and looked up two words. Defund and police, and reported it means defunding the police.
But saddly,, our channel 7 news urninalists are so tone death they don’t have the slightest clue they make themselves appear to be illeterate idiotic political commie hacks.

The mainstream media’s obsession with revenge and proving they can destroy a presidency has brought them to the edge of the precipice...
They got Nixon, and have been reminding the public about it ever since. And they don't need to remind the public that they gave Clinton and 0bama anything they wanted, including enshrining the grotesquely unattractive figures of Hillary and Michelle as glamorous public figures. So what happens when the magic spell fails to work? This happens. And the frenzy we're hearing has at its roots a flop-sweat fear that the glory has fled.
