MLB Players kneeling during our National Anthem
Vanity

Posted on 08/14/2020 11:56:38 AM PDT by billyboy15

I know many if not most players took a knee on the opening day of the MLB Season.

I have tried to find out if it is still happening and can find nothing about this.

Are they still taking a knee or was it just an opening day thing?

I don’t know. Heard about it opening day and didn’t watch since because of it. (I was working during opening day I think.)

I would like to know which teams took a knee, and which didn’t. Anybody got a list?

Doesn't matter ... they took a knee on opening day, all of 'em ... and for that I will not watch any of this permanently *asterisk* MLB season.

So long, my beloved Yankees ... loved ya back then, but not anymore.

I’m done as well, but I am curious to know if it was a one off or it is happening for each game.

I don’t watch so I can’t find out that way and no matter what I use as search terms all I get is the opening day stories.

If the NCAA does the same thing I’m done with then too, back to living a stress free life.

I was a total baseball girl.

I miss it in practice, but not in reality.

Cardboard cutout fans? Soundtrack for cheering? What a effing joke.

The kneeling sjw’s unforgivable.

There’s this weird station on my sling TV that plays old games. Perfect for a trip down memory lane.

Ban the Anthem from kneelers. Require straps
outside pants and on faces so we know they’re
protected. Then I’ll consider watching again.

The Boston Red Sox have a 100 foot BLM banner in their bleachers, and have pointed “Black Lives Matter” on a wall outside the stadium.

So, we get to be lectured about “justice” by rich elites making billions off merchandise made by Chinese slave labor.

First of all, the stands are currently empty other that players and team employees (and the “cardboard-Americans” being canvassed for Democrat votes). Secondly, the tv folks normally don’t show the national anthem before regular season games so we’d have to wait until the playoffs to know if they’re still kneeling. If the networks *are* showing kneeling players, then you know this is a decision by the liberal networks more than the players themselves and done to rub in the point that the players have become SJWs.

So long Braves.

Enjoy your negro league appreciation weekend and your Pride celebrations.

BTW Braves, when are you going to honor the military or stand up for cancer?

You are honoring the negro league and gays, it is only fair to celebrate the military and those who fought cancer.

I lost my mother in law last week to the same cancer that took her daughter’s life (my wife).

My money is being spent on worthwhile endeavors.

I think the cardboard fans behind home plate should jump the fence and kick the butts of the kneeling players. lol

A life-time of passion and love for baseball-especially the Reds-gone. Done. I love my country more than I love baseball, and I have a man-cave filled with baseball memorabilia from autographed hats, helmets, jerseys and baseballs to authentic seats from Ebbets Field, Shibe Park, Griffith Stadium, Crosley Field, Comiskey Park, Wrigley, Tiger, etc.

Fk them forever, for "taking a knee" at all.

But..... some morons can't do without their couch-potato sports time - even if the ingrates were to drop trough and take a giant s**t on the flag.

I'm done following MLB also. I recall as a kid following the game closely. Watched the games. Knew the stats inside and out. Played the game. Played numerous MLB board games like Strat-O-Matic and APBA. I couldn't get enough of the sport.

While my interest faded at times as an adult, it has really declined in recent years. Maybe getting older is part of it. I'm sure the political aspects to pro sports isn't helping.

I'm finding myself in search of a baseball simulator to get my MLB fix. Play the all-time greats along with my past favorites against each other. An escape away from present-day MLB.
