Joe Biden said Sunday he will ‘absolutely’ serve two terms if elected president as the recently nominated Democratic candidate saw a 5 per cent polling boost off the back of the four-night convention last week.
In an ABC News/Ipsos poll taken August 11-12, Biden had 40 per cent favorability and in the same poll taken August 21-22 – after the first-ever fully virtual Democratic National Convention – his approval jumped to 45 per cent.
Also before the convention, Biden had a net negative favorability rating, meaning more people disapproved of him than approved, a stat that has now flipped.

The media too. Maybe Biden got a bounce from the DNC, but if he did it was far short of the traditional post convention boost a presidential nominee usually gets. Outside the threat of the usual Democrat vote fraud I think Slow Joe and Crumbmala are in real trouble.

One poll says Trump is up. Three polls from the same period say Trump is down. Best to ignore them all.

He didn’t get a 5 point bump in the election forecast, just a 5 point bump in “favorability”. Both polls can be true, both Trump and Biden could have received a favorability bump from the convention as their respective constituencies digest the possibility of a Biden presidency.
