Country music superstar Chris Stapleton says America has a “lot of work to do” on combatting racism and police brutality, describing the Black Lives Matter protests following the death of George Floyd as a “broad awakening” for the entire country.

“You know, I thought we were living in a different country. And that’s 100 percent real. I feel like the country that I thought we were living in was a myth,” Stapleton said in an interview on CBS’s This Morning, when asked about whether he believes Black Lives Matter. “Do I think Black lives matter? Absolutely … I don’t know how you could think they don’t.”

Dumbassery on display. Of course they matter as do ALL of us. Nobody thinks they don't, and yet you've bought the lie. Sorry you're suffering from white guilt there chris. Guess you need to write a country song about that. This country is a myth? The wokenistas are everywhere.

Actually, I think America does have a lot of wwork to do. Just not in the way this idiot thinks. Too much commie/progressive groupthink.

The country we thought we were living in was always striving for improvement, and toward a color-blind society. The country we are living in just likes to burn stuff down.

This is what Garth Brooks did to country music.

Dumbassery, yes. But it’s also cowardly behavior and pandering. Probably an equal mixture of all three.

70% of BL are born out of wedlock. Things would improve tremendously if that number were 20%. What he is saying is it will take a lot of work and sacrifices by couples to get there.

No doubt chris is skerred of losing the massive black audience he has. Sadly, Gnashville is a hot bed of wokenistas now.

= = =

All the WORK America HAS done enables these lazy SJWs and BLMers with time and welfare to whine about so-called racism and police brutality.

“Country music superstar Chris Stapleton...”

I must assume blacks buy his music the most.

I must assume many CW stations will be asked to stop playing his music (probably the new rap-type CW crap), too.

Anytime I hear “systemic racism” I cringe. They have to illustrate the claim. For example, “it’s systemic racism when you ...(fill in the blank)...”

Until this conversation is held, “systemic racism” and other racism are privilege accusations are empty.

Tell us where we are going wrong, if you can.

The other lie: “Black Lives Matter”. They leave out “Some”, because if you illustrate black lives lost to other avoidable causes, you can’t finish the sentence. Deception by omission.

Guess the CV-19 forced all the ‘mostly peaceful’ PROtesters out of their work schedules so they could spend months protesting huh?

The “systemic racism” line is nonsense, obviously, based on a wholly artificial idea. They would have to point to a specific law of policy somewhere that supports it, and they simply cannot do that.

Chris who? Whoever he is, I doubt he would know genuine country music if he heard it, if he’s like the rest of the current Nashville denizens.

Modern “country music” isn’t country music.

Yes, America has a lot of work to do. But none of it has anything to do with granting blax yet more concessions or throwing more money into the ghetto.

The work? The list is too long for FR. It would break the internet.

You are so right. Cheater GB was the first of the “God and Country” Country Western frauds to renege on his commitment to perform at Trump’s inauguration. After that they all backed out.
