Four-Star General: Trump Ending Iran Appeasement Could End Regime
Breitbart ^ | September 20,2020 | PENNY STARR

Posted on 09/20/2020 4:53:50 PM PDT by Hojczyk

Keane said that, in addition to enforcing sanctions and ending the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, Trump’s brokering the restoration of diplomatic ties between Israel and the United Arab Emirates is a game change

dramatically against the mullahs,” Keane said. “This is not just a historical event. It’s a geopolitical paradigm shift.”

“I think the steps the United States took this week – and that is, we are finally going to put together a political, economic and military alliance with the countries in the Middle East to confront Iran,” Keane told Breitbart News.

“That I think is the most significant political event I have seen in years,” Keane said. “This president has ended the appeasement of the Iranian regime for 40 years.”

Democrat and Republican presidents, liberal and conservative, as part of that — have all appeased this regime,” Keane said. “This president is ending that.”

Keane said he believes this is the start of pressures that could lead to the demise of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his decades-long grip on Iran.

“There’s going to be many other countries that are going to fold themselves into the alliance,” Keane said. “It’s going to lead to more isolation and more pressure on the regime.”

“And, to be frank about it, I have never seen the mullahs back on their heels as much as they are right now,” Keane said. “And it’s going to get worse for them.”

Keane spoke with Breitbart News in Washington, DC, on Friday where he took part in an international summit of the Iranian diaspora that unfolded through livestreams emanating from 10,000 locations, including inside Iran and from Albania, where the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (MEK) – an affiliate of the nation’s most prominent dissident organization, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) – is headquartered.

The Globalists love the endless wars. For them, the “solution” in the Middle East is always more boots on the ground.

Trump came in as an outsider and said, “Why don’t we try diplomacy? How about we make a deal?”

Turns out, diplomacy works. Who knew?

Keane is a globalist but a generally clear headed one. I doubt that anything absent a nuclear strike will end a 12er type regime in Iran. Something like three quarters of the population are observant Shies. In the event of true mass opposition the regime will pour the faithful in and real massacres will ensue. The mullahs don't care if large parts of Theran and other cities burn and even hundreds of thousands die. They will be safe in their deep bunkers with lots of lucre and 12er faith is never dented.

DJT signaled to the muzzard world the US really was ending appeasement of Iran and presented them with a choice. Join or face the future consequences. Knowing the US is really done with tempting a modus vivendi with Iran was a loud signal. The Arab states who really fear or are real enemies of Iran are now in the process of a true realignment in the ME. What is shaping up is some Arabs are aligning themselves with Israel and Saudi Arabia against other Arabs and Iran. The consequences could be interesting. You are truly correct, this is what great power diplomacy looks like. Killing Solomani was the icing that proved our intentions. K Street would prefer a ‘limited naval and air conflict sort of, limited to certain parts of the Persian Gulf’.

No. Trump’s an idiot. Don Lemon promised this would start Armageddon. He promised he was an idiot.

Similar difference in Afghanistan—at least in Kabul. Women were starting to wear western dresses. The mullahs in both countries were outraged and struck back. The women in both can be quite attractive, if they’re allowed to be.

The recent fires and explosions at key Iranian nuclear facilities as well as the cyberchaos they experiencd are just a mild warning to the mullahs just what will happen in far greater intensity when the time comes. The mullahs and their “Revolutionary Guards” won’t even see the people who destroy them. The UAE is an excellent place for Israeli F-35s to land, refuel and rearm. The stealthy drones, stealthy missiles and the on the ground Mossad saboteurs won’t be seen as well.

Little known and/or realized that General Keane was to become Army Chief of Staff upon the retirement of General Eric Shinseki in 2003. He chose to retire at the end of his term as Vice Chief of Staff rather than to become the new Army Chief of Staff because he, quietly, disagreed with the plans for invading Iraq and the projected aftermath.

There was a disagreement about the strategy for going into Iraq with President Bush siding with General Tommy Franks for a quick invasion and rapid withdrawal. Generals Shinseki and Keane had the Army staff and historians do in depth study and planning for what it would take for and AFTER an invasion. That research showed that an occupation would need to occur and that it would take about 100,000 soldiers for a period up to 10 years.

They were over ruled by Bush and Cheney who approved Frank’s “lightning strike” with a quick withdrawal. Of course the disbanding of the Iraq Army by the US civilian ‘overlord’ was a failure.

I will not say that he wanted to stay in Iraq for years, but he knew that not to plan fo r it, and for the administration to accept the possibility of that as irresponsible.

Quite a feat by our President. And what has Joe Biden ever accomplished?
