RFID inventory control chip.
RFID chip. It’s inventory control. It allows the tracking of the chip from production through shipping. It would probably transmit its location if it were activated. Take it out and toss it.
As has been said, inventory. Also maybe quality control, if a mask is faulty they can trace the batch it came from and se if others are also faulty.
Or they could be listening to hear when you’re snoring, so they can come and steal Hungry Man TV dinners from your freezer as you sleep. But I digress....

Saw this 13 years ago - a TV commercial. I’m really surprised this has not been implemented across the whole of retail yet. It will be the end of the cashier, in a lot of ways. Of course, stores are already doing that, in various forms.

If they have chips the box needs to be labeled not safe for MRI use. One would assume any mask or gown would be safe for use in an MRI suite, but when coming from China you can’t assume anything.

Not me - I despise 99.9 % of sequels. The original 1978 Halloween outing is a classic, tho. Nice camera work and great location use in South Pasadena.
