Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney on Thursday joined Republican and Democratic legislators in criticizing President Donald Trump's comment about whether he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the Nov. 3 presidential election.
Trump told reporters on Wednesday that he would “have to see what happens" when asked about whether he’d commit to a peaceful transfer of power.
Thursday morning, Cheney responded to the comment in a tweet:
"The peaceful transfer of power is enshrined in our Constitution and fundamental to the survival of our Republic. America’s leaders swear an oath to the Constitution. We will uphold that oath," Cheney wrote.
She is the Chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, the third-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives.

Even if the GOP retakes the house, how is Trump supposed to get anything done?
With an honest, and lawful, and certified election result, there will be a peaceful transition of power in 2021.
No one should doubt that.
The play that they are pursuing (and Cheney is helping) is that the Democrats will cheat, just declare themselves the winner and force their way into power in an unpeaceful way. That’s not something anyone should agree to.

What a witch is right. If Trump has agreed to a peaceful transfer in his statement, the press would have done article on Trump is conceding. Those are just horrible questions to answer.
He could have just ignored it but it would have been asked and asked and they would have destroyed him in the press for not answering.

If he loses any day after the 4th, he shouldn’t step down.
