This will be a weekly post.
Count is now 218 judges confirmed.
2 Trade Court judges
161 District Court judges
53 Circuit Court judges
2 Supreme Court justices
The Senate this week also confirmed a judge to the Court of Federal Claims (Article I judge, serves 15 years).
President Trump is expected to appoint Amy Coney Barrett later today to fill the Supreme Court vacancy resulting from the death last week of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
A Barrett confirmation would then leave a vacancy on the 7th Circuit. Should Trump appoint a replacement and the Senate confirm, that would be Trump's 54th Circuit court judge in less than four years. Obama had 55 in EIGHT years.
If Barrett is confirmed, Trump will be the first President since Reagan to have more than two Supreme Court justices confirmed (Reagan appointed O'Connor, Scalia, Kennedy, and elevated Rehnquist to Chief Justice).
Before Reagan there was Nixon, who had four Justices confirmed in a single term (Warren, Blackmun, Powell and Rehnquist).
The Judiciary has been reconstituted before our eyes over the past four years. Here's to four more!
Around 3,500 U.S. companies such as including Tesla Inc, Ford Motor Co, Target Corp, Walgreen Co and Home Depot have sued the Trump administration in the last two weeks over the imposition of tariffs on more than $300 billion in Chinese-made goods. These lawsuits have been filed in the U.S. Court of International Trade.

There are currently TWO VACANCIES on the 9 member United States Court of International Trade. I dont know what the proclivities of the 4 Obama appointees to the International Trade Court are but I worry about how they may intentionally rule to the detriment of the United States.
President Trump and Leader McConnell need to FILL THESE VACANCIES URGENTLY. Trumps entire America First agenda may depend on it.

A nominee for one of the open positions on the Court of International Trade, Stephen A. Vaden, was reported out of the Judicial Committee on January 16th. The ball is in Leader McConnell’s court.
The ball is in Leader McConnells court.

Yes, I agree... and its been in his court for a long time. I worry about the 4 Obama appointed judges making up the majority of the 7 active judges sitting on this important court. McConnell needs to schedule Vaden for his confirmation vote and President Trump needs to submit a nominee for the 9th position on the court. And that needs to be done on a priority basis, IMHO.
Its better to prevent problems than it is to try to remedy problems.
The infamous 7th circuit. Where three obstinate octogenarian judges refused to retire early to have Trump nominate with younger replacements. The three are 84, 82, and 82 and appointed by Reagan, Reagan, and Papa Bush.
If Trump loses or Rats regain the Senate there are four easy layups for new RGB types that will be there 40 years.
More good news - many think it was Obama’s laziness that left so many vacancies but McConnell and company opposed a lot of the Obama nominees and helped ensure vacancies for Trump to fill.
September 23 [Article III judge]:
Confirmed, 70-27: Executive Calendar #588 John Charles Hinderaker to be U.S. District Judge for the District of Arizona.
September 24 [Article III judge]:
Confirmed, 93-2: Executive Calendar #815 Roderick C. Young to be U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia.
How many judges are waiting?
Hinderaker - Arizona - 24 Republicans voted “No”
Young - Virginia - 41 Democrats voted “Yes”
The waiting is the hardest part.
Here's the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit [as of July 4, 2020]:

Reagan judge Joel Flaum is Resistance - he's Left as the day is long.
Grabby Poppy [GHW Bush] judge Ilana Rovner appears to be Resistance, also.
So the Black guy waltzes through 93-2, but the white guys have hard core opposition (27 sure no votes) from the Democrats.
Thanks for keeping us up to date!
If only!
24 Republicans voted “No” against Hinderaker.
Both of these judges have almost unanimous Democrat support.
Thanks for the correction. I should have dug deeper.
