KARE 11 - NBC TV Affiliate in Minneapolis-St. Paul ^ | 9/26/20 | Emily Haavick - Staff Reporter

Former Vice President Joe Biden has a 6% lead over incumbent President Donald Trump in Minnesota, a new KARE 11/MPR News/Star Tribune Minnesota Poll demonstrates.

The poll, conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy, Inc., surveyed Minnesotans who said they were likely to vote in November.

When asked who they would vote for if the 2020 presidential election were held today, 48% of Minnesota voters said Biden while 42% chose Trump. Two percent chose other candidates and 8% were undecided.

Besides political party, urban and rural areas marked the widest disparity. While 70% of Hennepin and Ramsey County residents support Biden, Trump polled at 48% in the metro suburbs compared to Biden's 41%. Trump held a larger lead in southern and northern Minnesota with 53% and 54% respectively, compared to 36% for Biden in both.

Men were more likely to support Trump, with 48% compared to 36% of women. Woman likewise supposed Biden at 52% compared to 44% of men.

We have a very recent poll out on the Presidential race in Minnesota.

In all fairness, the Minnesota Poll has not been particularly credible over the last few years. They tend to dramatically undersample Republicans. This poll is also reflective of registered voters only.

One thing you do see in the polling is the wide gulf between urban/suburban and rural Minnesota.

The article is worth reading.

If Biden is at 48% in Minnesota, he is not leading nationally by the margins other polls have indicated.

26 Sept: Gateway Pundit: OH HELL NO! Joe Biden Says He Could Stay at Home During the Pandemic because Black Women Stacked Grocery Shelves — WTH? (VIDEO)
By Jim Hoft
This didn’t get much attention but it does display what Joe Biden thinks of black people.

During a recent unscripted presser Joe Biden told the audience the reason he was able to stay sequestered at home during the pandemic was because black women stocked the grocery shelves.
Wow!...

The oct 2016 poll for Star Tribune had Hillary up by 8. She won by 1.5. Poll off by 6.5. If current poll is free by 6.5, Trump wins MN.

Why would you say that? Hillary got 46.4% of the vote in 2016 for MN, so Biden being at 48% with 10% undecided sounds like he would be in better position, assuming this poll is even close to accurate.

8% undecided. Splitting it 50/50 pits Biden at 52%, well above Hillary’s 46.4%. I don;t see how you can draw the conclusion that Biden is suffering nationally based on this one poll.

That’s not exactly what Biden said, or meant. He said the general public realized that he/she could stay at home during the pandemic because some black woman stocked the shelves. (he said I, but he was quoting the general public person).

Minnesota voters must be as brain damaged as Joe Biden.

This is awesome for Trump showing if he’s within 6 in Minnesota he can really press now as if he gets Minnesota he’s probably winning re-election

I don’t know, you guys. I would rather be ahead in these kind of polls than behind. I am not being faint-hearted, just sayin.’

Don’t know about Minnesota. I’m in California and see several hundred people daily. So far I haven’t met anyone who is going to vote for Biden. I think California will be going RED!!
VOTE DEM OUT I hope Trump will make a campaign stop in CA

This would equate to a 6-7 point lead for Biden nationally, assuming a uniform swing.

The undecided are heavily female. We are at the mercy of squishy women.

These polls are going to be wrong, just as they were in 2016. One of the largest problems with them is the polling samples always lean liberal. Those who would support Trump do not have phone numbers that can be called by the pollster. Many are cell phones that are not on record. Many put their cell phones on a busy signal with an ap so they cannot be reached. Others do not answer unless they can recognize the caller I.D. Some are FAX number. Those who do answer will play games with the poll. If they are asked who they favor for election, they will answer yes for one question and yes for an opposite question. The pollster company may be not be independent and that may be a big part of the bias against Trump.

Numerous analyses of MSM polls have found a consistent oversampling of dems across the board. Including Fox News polls. The oversampling range is from 9% - 12%.

“One of the largest problems with them is the polling samples always lean liberal.”

The biggest problem is that they are conducted by people who have no interest in the results of an honest poll.

They’re dummied up and deployed as propaganda tools. Not even intended to be real polls.
