NBC News reporter Kristen Welker, the debate moderator
for the final presidential debate, has strong ties to
Democrat activism and has even been caught on camera
“tipping off” a member of Hillary Clinton’s failed
presidential campaign about “at least one question”
that she was going to ask during an interview, according
to a new report.

A shame, but not a surprise.

Does the President's staff have
any say in setting up these debates?

I couldn’t believe what I read about those in control of debates.

Basically a wing of the far left dem faction.

I may be in the minority, but I don’t see a lot to gain from doing this debate and a little to lose by doing it.

We’re back up to 49 percent approval on Rasmussen after dropping to as low as 44 after the debate.

I’d walk away.

Do another town hall

Microphones being shut off?? It’s an absolute insult to a POTUS to do this.

But it fits a totalitarian regime.

Yep, I am betting she does a Candy Crowley and corrects and admonishes Trump when he brings up the Hunter Biden laptop emails.

Won’t be necessary this time. In 2016 the moderators leaked questions to the democrat candidate, in 2020 the democrat party is telling the moderator what questions they will ask.

{Does the President’s staff have any say in setting up these debates?}

Indeed, cannot understand why they didn’t insist that someone like Lou Dobbs or Maria Bartiromo moderate at least one of the debates!!!

If Trump wins the election he will end the presidential debate commission.

There will still be debates, but not by that group.

I don’t see the big deal about letting someone know in advance what you want to talk about. It is common enough that I’ve seen some people get upset when the interviewer strayed off topic.

Trump shouldn’t cancel. He’s the only one who will ask Biden directly about his corruption. I want to see Biden squirm.

Can you imagine the outrage if someone tried to mute button Obama. Michelle my belle, Hillary, Kamala?

I’m with you, and I feel, even in retrospect, that Trump benefited from the first debate, in spite of the bias.

I think the most that Trump can accomplish in this debate is maybe, possibly, to put a spotlight on the emerging Biden corruption scandal. But he could do that in a speech announcing that he’s not going to put up with the Debate Commission’s hyperpartisan games.

Biden already has all of his debate questions and responses. He is in his basement rehearsing now. Every question for Joe will be a softball.

Do you really believe that 5% of the country changed their minds on whether they approved of President Trump in the past 2 weeks?

Come on man.

No do not cancel it. Use it as a platform to get the Hunter story out there and make Joe address it. Release a new Hunter email and photos 24 hours before the debate.

I agree with you. I don’t understand why Trump is doing this dumpster fire. I think he should cancel and get in 2 more rally’s. The RATS will kick and scream, but who cares?

I think Trump could benefit from “acting presidential” in the final debate. In the first debate he savaged Biden and had some funny one-liners. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought he did well, but I was surprised to see the majority of people, even a lot on FR, disappointed in his performance. If he’s more restrained this time around it might reassure some people still concerned about Trump being “mean.”

No. Although Trump's campaign manager is now taking sarcastic shots at them about getting Biden's staff's approval for their changes. Trump should just walk away.

I’m certain they will make up something to throw at Trump, their own fake October surprise that will cover the Biden corruption. They will sink to any level and cheat any way they can. They aren’t bound by morality or ethics.

The Debate Commission wants to arbitrarily mute microphones, so Trump won’t get to put that out there. He should just decline.
