What about the intern (who sent weird email) from AMI? Didn't I hear he was in the hospital with Pnuemonia and they were testing him? Never heard another word after that.

That's the one (the Florida intern) I've been wondering about also. How likely is it that this young man would just happen to get this severe pulmonary condition that required hospitalization? Yet his story has completely dropped off the radar screen!

Question:

If the postal workers didn't open the mail, how did they inhale the Anthrax? Did the powder leak out?

We are not getting a straight answer on that. I hear about fans that blow dust off of the machinery they use to sort the mail...???

That's also what I heard, the machine that processed the letters was contaminated and that machine is cleaned with an air gun - which would have made the particles airborn. This means at least one of the envelopes was leaking or that the anthrax so small it goes right through the fibers of the envelope. (my guess of course on the envelope leaking)

Hey, you are getting some good stuff entered into the index list. We now have around 100 and we are not yet catching all of them. This will have huge dividends for researchers as this crisis goes on.

In the CALPOWERCRISIS topic area we have nearly 2000 documents retrievable.

This area will be much larger very soon the way it is growing!

I was wondering too. Also, last week, FOX reported that an 8 year-old boy in Florida was suspected of having skin anthrax. Anybody hear this besides me?

I scour the news and there has been no further mention of this guy.

I'm confused. If you are referring to the intern, it was reported last week that he tested negative for anthrax, he was shown on TV..As for the 8 year old, I had not heard any reports on that one..
