That was beautiful. It reminds me of the things I used to love about him.

Going to DC 2moro am and will be there for the NDP. Any Freepers planning on being there? I think it is a great opportunity to get some exposure with believers from all over the country.
Plus I would love to meet some of you.

On this National Day of Prayer please remember the case of
Gentala vs City of Tucson in prayer. Basically the case is this: In the City of Tucson, secular non-profit organizations can use the park bandshell for free. Some religous groups even get free use of the bandshell, like for Earth Day or an Indian Pow-Wow. But not Christians. They must pay the park fees. In 1997 Robert and Pat Gentala held a National Day of Prayer event with 9 churches at the park bandshell and had to pay $347. They sued on principle. The case went back and forth and up to the Supreme Court! The Supreme Court laughed at the 9th Federal Circuit court's weirdly written decision and
sent it back to them to retry it. You would think at this point the City of Tucson would give up. They could easily drop the case at this point. Nope. They are still actively pursuing the case and will try to have the 9th Federal Circuit Court rewrite the decision.
You must think the City of Tucson has a lot of money to spend on this case, huh? They took a dubious case to the Supreme Court, after all. Nope. Million dollar budget shortfalls. But they have time and money for this.
The people of the City of Tucson are deeply religous and would rise up in a rage and call and write their Mayor and City CouncilPersons - if they only knew about this case. But they do not. They are clueless. The local newspaper only prints slanted articles and confusing editorials arguing against it. Mostly the liberal media here ignore it, hoping people won't notice until it's too late.
This case is important for the whole USA, though. If the City of Tucson wins, all government will be able to discriminate and charge Christian churches big fees for using public facilities that other non-profit organizations can use for free. Many cities and states are closely watching this case.
Please pray for the Gentalas and that the
Tucson Mayor and City Council will repent and decide not to continue discriminating against Christians.

Bumping for prayer for our Country, President, Administration, families, friends, and yes, even the bad guys.

Our prayers offered to those who would persecute the innocent. Dear Lord, may they see the errors of their ways and be ever mindful that through their recognition of same they may become reconciled with You. For it is to know You and love You and someday to spend eternity with You that we all aspire to. Peace.
