The Wellstone Eulogy...written by Bob Shrum on the the Acela Express from Boston Yesterday
Personal Observation | 10/29/2002 | Redleg Duke

Posted on 10/29/2002 8:25:11 AM PST by Redleg Duke

Yesterday, Bob Shrum, noted DemocRAT strategist, hurriedly called contacts, digging up "accomplishments" to include in the eulogy that Tom Harkin is to "deliver from the heart" today at the Wellstone Memorial Service. I sat near him in the First Class Car of the Acela Express from Boston, where he was coaching Shannon O'Brien to be an attack dog, to Newark, where he was scheduled to meet with Lautenburg that evening.

He used a variety of sources. A virtual RAT focus group. Look for such accolades as "campaign finance reform", "saving the family farm from big agri-business" (Can anyone say Tysons Foods?), "saving social security", and of course "prescription drug benefits".

Look for Tom Harkin spewing alligator tears and try to dig up or get out the vote for sympathy.

I listened to his cell phone calls all the way to Newark! It was sickening! These are RATS...It is all about power. To them, while the "early bird gets the worm, the second RAT gets the cheese!"

Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

Send an eyewitness report right away to Hannity and Rush. Or call in to Rush now!

The Acela actually has "passengers"?

I thought they were cardboard cut-outs to fool the GAO auditors. 8^)

They were so successful with Carnahan, I would not be surprised to see RATs killing their own candidates.

Toricelli was givin a choice. Quit, or die. He chose to quit.(that's my opinion. Arkanside is popular among the left. See Clinton death list)

I am getting so sick of hearing how Wellstone was "for the little guy" and did everything "from his heart." He was a leftist scum bag. Yes, he apparently believed what he was doing and was consistent, this made him unusual in demonRat ranks, but he was still a commie jerk.

I am sorry he and everyone else died in that plane crash, but enough with the he was so good stuff. The Dims are playing it for everything they can, and the Republicans are being "nice guys" as usual. It's time for this to stop. Brit Hume, Sean and the rest of you, the time for mourning is over. OUR NATION is at stake. The demonRats have to be stopped. Our borders have to be protected, our military strengthend, and the Senate has to support our President. Please take a stand before it's too late.

It's on the radio in Minnesota that the Wellstone family are "offended" and "upset" about "Republican campaign activity," and so have asked Cheney (who is PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE) not to attend the memorial service tonight. These people are partisan to the bone. They couldn't miss this opportunity to bash the Republicans. If they thought it would help defeat Norm Coleman, Wellstone's kids would take the corpses out on a campaign tour.

It's a sad thought, but after seeing how they're politisizing his death, I'd have to agree with you on that.

That political hack Shrum is writing this is very good news for Coleman. Add this to the uninviting of Cheney and you have all the makings of a campaign rally. Hard core Dems will eat it up, but it should not play well with the thinking people in Minnesota.

I sent a full report to Rush via email last night. I put Shrum's name in the subject line to trigger his filter. I hope it got through!

And they have staged the funeral to be a get-out-the-vote rally. They didn't want the throngs of union folks they're bussing in to be hindered by all the security that would be required if the Cheney's attended. And they're irritated that Coleman continues to campaign?! Can't wait to hear Rush ... and Hannity on this. I hope this wakes up every "undecided" in a big way. This is an outrage .... Grrrrrr

HELP! I am stuck in a meeting. If anyone here can get this to Rush and Sean today, please do so! I believe it needs to get out today! What they are doing in Minnesota is being replicated across the country.
