Ex-Homosexual Says CBS Show Aired Its 'Pro-Gay' Bias
Agape Press ^ | July 9, 2003 | Allie Martin

(AgapePress) - A former homosexual who is now married and proclaims that change is possible through Jesus says CBS News does not want to let the truth come out about the homosexual lifestyle.

Earlier this month a crew from the CBS program Sunday Morning interviewed Stephen Bennett, along with his wife and two children for a segment on same-sex marriage. Bennett says he was assured by the producer that the segment would mention that he is a former homosexual. However, Bennett says the network showed its pro-homosexual bias when CBS chose to air a segment that fell far short of what he was promised.

"The producer promised me she would make sure she left in my story of how I came out of the homosexual lifestyle -- and how I was a former gay man -- but she lied," Bennett says. "That was not anywhere to be found. What they did was nothing but a pro-gay puff piece, an infomercial marketing same-sex marriage to America. We were completely disturbed by what they did."

Bennett says the segment, which cut their 45-minute interview down to less than 60 seconds, only mentioned that he and his wife are against same-sex marriage for religious reasons. While he knew that only a few sound bites from the interview would be shown, Bennett says he never expected the network to distort his story. Still, he feels he understands why the media is biased.

"If people can change their homosexual behavior, the entire gay agenda's faulty foundation completely crumbles," he says. "The whole gay movement is based upon two pillars: the first one being the presupposition that one is born gay; and the second being that homosexuals cannot change, just like people cannot change their skin color."

Though Bennett says his phone calls to the producer of the segment have received no response, he remains determined to get the truth out. Bennett believes that the secular media will do all it can to keep America from hearing the message that, through Christ, homosexual men and women can change

What? the network had an agenda? (sacarsm)

The homosexual has a really big problem.. he/she has no worldview.

If God created us then we owe it to him to follow his word. That word clearly states that Homosexualality is an abomination.

If evolution is fact, then their shouldn't be any homosexuals left. There is no reproductive path.

That only leaves one option left: they are mutations, genetic misfits.

Isn't it interesting how the homosexuals try to say that heterosexuals can exhibit homo tendencies, thereby making it possible to bring them over to their side, but one cannot even hint that a person engaging in homosexual tendencies might be normalized.

Yep, because it shoots holes in their theories. Funny how they don’t account for the phenomenon of so-called “bisexuality” AKA homosexuality, homosexual conversion in prison, choice and the FACT that there are ex-gays.

Thanks for Stephen Bennett’s bio. I didn’t know he was adopted and raised by homosexuals and that he and his other adopted brother both practiced homosexuality. Two children growing up in a “gay” household and then becoming “gay” is a coincidence that blows the doors off the statistics that say children are no more likely to be gay than in a heterosexual household.

There are a lot of people against gay marriage, and a lot of them are not religious people. Although most of the arguments seem to be between the moral high ground and the moral low ground, what about those people that are not religious, or barely religious that are also against Gay Marriage and homosexuality? What do we arm them with in arguments?

Remember Remedy - you must have seen his monumental postings on this topic. I am a rotten computer person, but I would think that if you search under his name, of the topic, you will find things in the archives here. Here are two websites that have a lot of information, not necessarily religious in nature (despite the name, it is non-sectarian and has TONS of info online, and links to more):
www.defendthefamily.com
www.abidingtruth.com
The organization NARTH helps people overcome homosexuality from a psychological perspective and has a lot of information; there must be links to it on the above sites, or you could do a search.
